We decided to give a try to this place after checking the surroundings. Unfortunately the service was very rude, the food took ages and they ruin our Paris experience. After we realized that we had waited for 2 hr and 30 minutes and about to lose our train that we decided to ask for the check. That was our food magically appeared in 10 minutes. Not without drama and bad service when they were demanding us to pay even though we had not received the food. We were told that the food was order an hour ago, which was not at all true, maybe that when they realized to order after I went to the washrooms and ask how they were doing. The “owner” was specially rude with mu husband making personal remarks saying he was a bad person as he asked for the bill while I was eating. - he didnt eat as his food was bot even cooked as asked.
I tried to explain with my french the situation and kept cool all time. And at the end the owner refused our payment, but definitely this place doesn’t deserve one start for his rude and apologetic...
Read moreMy girlfriend who grew up in the area took me here on our trip to France, and it's by far the best meal iv had so far , the staff where extremely friendly and welcoming and the place had a warm vibe to it , the exterior is a little dated but for a restraunt that's been in the area for so many years I think it adds to the charm , as for the food I had a veil cutlet served with potatoes and creamy sauce , along with some mushroom , the flavour was to die for with a beautiful creamy flavour that went well with both the meat and potatoes but with a spicey kick at the end , it blended perfectly with the sauce so the transition from creamy to spice isint jarring in the slightest , as for the meat itself , it was cooked perfectly to my specifications and was extremely tender and it absorbed alot of the flavour from the dish without losing its meaty taste , I'd heavily recommend to anyone visiting the area or even central paris , well worth the 40 minute metro journey from the centre and I'll definitely return when I next...
Read moreIn a nutshell, disappointing or underwhelming. First the highlights... the baguette - superior, the escargot - no bad just slightly weird (unconventional) that 6 escargot arrived in a 12 piece dish. Nevertheless, I liked the fact the escargot weren't garlicky instead simple without cheese... mainly pesto. The veal was also tender; hence properly prepared. The real disappointment was the cream sauce and the scalloped potatoes. Cream sauce was not all the creamy and either the sauce or the potatoes were ladened with salt (almost inedible). Would not return if I'm ever...
