Owned by a vietnamese family. The madam serving us is a hardworking, very kind women. She tries her best trying to speak English to tourists, always smiles and is very friendly. If you're near Gare du Nord, try this vietnamese restaurant out! Especially if your train leaves in at least 1 hour, you'll get plenty of time to enjoy a meal here as you'll get your food quickly compared to western restaurants. This restaurants gives you free chilled water. Try eating their Hu tieu xao (as seen in picture) or bo luc lac (see picture, it is with rice). Beautiful cozy interior. Downstairs you have more seats and tables, and a toilet and the kitchen. So the madam has to go up and down the stairs all the time to serve the food. Must be very exhausting, I salute her lol. The prices are cheaper compared to other parisian western restaurants! Budget friendly. Also, the bo luc lac doesn't contain any flavor enhancers such as MSG which is a plus!

Paris is undoubtedly a culinary capital, but for me, it means I can find amazing and authentic Vietnamese food on the European continent. After the many meals of delectable French cuisine, this simple spot with Vietnamese staples stole the show and was the food highlight of my most recent trip. I will certainly come back to Sao Mai the next time I am in Paris. You MUST try the Che troi for dessert. The best I’ve ever had!

Exceptional Vietnamese food in the middle of Paris! Really fresh ingredients and it’s clear it’s home-made by someone that cares. I would highly recommend the mango 🥭 and carrot salad and the grilled /barbecue beef. Absolutely delicious!

We were just passing by until we saw this cute little Vietnamese restaurant, but we‘re so happy that we didn’t walk passed it. The food is amazing it really reminded me of my hometown in Vietnam, very authentic and the host is the sweetest woman you’ll ever meet! We had the Pho dac biet and the bun thit with beef and it was the best. If you really like to have some good authentic Vietnamese food and a very good price? I would recommend 10 out of...
