Since I’m from California, I was curious to visit starbucks out here in Paris. I thought maybe it would be better since europe has higher food standards. I was wrong. Their menu is smaller for drinks than the American menu. They only have a few macchiato flavors. I got a caramel macchiato with coconut milk. It was gross. My husband got the mocha praline macchiato. Which tasted very forgettable. Like a bad chocolate milk. We get these drinks back in the US, so I know what they should taste like. Everything tasted extraordinarily cheap as if you got it from some high school cafeteria from a vending machine. I think American starbucks are the way to go. Far better. Also, this is a prime tourist area. And starbucks is an American brand. I’m surprised they don’t have even one English-speaking employee. I don’t expect everyone to know English, but at such a popular establishment it seems a bit strange that the majority of workers only speak French. I’m sure they get a bunch of...
Read moreNot well run. I go to Starbucks all the time and hate to write a bad review. Trash on the tables doesn’t get removed. It’s not my job to provide a clean table. People are slobs, but that’s the businesses problem to clean up. Wi fi doesn’t work. It shows the three bars, but no connection. This happened both times I visited. No croissants and limited food. In Paris you have no croissants? If they sell out quick each day, order more. Food could be better. Store was hot. Turn on air conditioning for those sitting inside. The hot chocolate was good though, so I can say one good thing. Please Starbucks, get your act together. If you have to hire more people, then hire more people. Don’t have an unappealing store with filthy tables...

After showing COVID vaccination cards, she rudely insisted on a QR code, which is not available to all foreign travelers on short stays in Paris. We asked for “take away” to avoid any trouble on dining in and she agreed but continued to argue that we were a “problem. This escalated to her threatening to call the Police. A patron waiting for her beverage apologized on behalf of “Paris” on our way out. The French are wonderful people just not Iolanda who must be miserable at home. She needs some special training or a new life. This does not help with enticing the return of tourism to this beautiful...
