SUMiBi KAZ — Restaurant in Paris

Excellent traditional Japanese cuisine where you can taste grill mastery and quality products.

The dishes themselves are nothing extravagant, they won't differ much from your typical japanese restaurant that is twice less expansive. You will however be able to tell immediately that the ingredients are on another level and preparation skills are on point. Nothing will be dry, the fish is juicy and melts in the mouth, the fired chicken is crispy on the outside but remains super moist on the inside.

Seasoning is right and you can find some great smoke notes in some of the preparations.

I recommend going for the bento so you can have a taste of every, it's actually not bad value for your money despite being 40€.

We came in on a Thursday evening around 20h30 without reservation. The restaurant was not packed and the host was pretty welcoming. For the starter we ordered the steamed razor clam, which unfortunately was a big disappointment. It seemed that the razor clam was not properly handled before cooking. There were too much sand in the clams and we couldn’t eat at all. Another starter we had was eringi mushroom which was pretty good.

For the grill we have rib steak and giant prawn. Both are very delicious. We asked for the yuzu pepper sauce separately and the steak goes well with it. Bit pricy though given the price vs quantity.

The best Japanese restaurant in Pairs! I haven't had such amazing food in the time I have lived here... Also another sign of a really great restaurant is when you have japanese people frequenting it ... You know you are in good company when they recommend the food .
