My daughter and I went for dinner at Tio. A great plus was that our dog Tommy was welcome. He was provided immediately with a bowl of water. Which was very kind. We were seated at a corner table with plenty of space for Tommy. The service was kind and accommodating. The menu is not very long which I love. The simpler the menu the better the food in my opinion. And the food did not disappoint. We had the fish ceviche as a starter. Which was bursting with flavour. Sweet and sour just a bit of everything. My daughter even spooned up the leftover sauce not to spoil anything. For the main we shared 4 tacos: the veggie, the chicken, the shrimp and the fish taco. All great. The shrimp one was a favorite though. And for dessert we shared the 3 leche cake. Which was the perfect ending of a great meal. For drinks we tried the spicy mango cocktail. Loved the spicey taste! And honestly the first cocktail we loved (as 2 non-drinkers) and one that we would order again.
Good to know: We are both not very big eaters so sharing 1 starter, 4 tacos and a dessert was more than...

The guacamole came in the tiniest of bowls, containing barely half an avocado, and was absolutely nothing special, but extremely salty. This was followed by chicken, pork, and vegetarian nachos which were totally bland, dull and lacking in flavour (as did the couple of sauces that came with them). By far the worst dish, however, was the Picanha steak (most expensive dish on the menu), again tiny (think toddler portion) and extremely thin like a minute steak, cooked on a lukewarm plancha rather than properly grilled (you'd be shot if you served that in Brasil). I also doubt the steak was cut from the rump cap (=Picanha). This was accompanied by some insipid sweet potato cubes and watercress leaves (large, on the stem and inedible). In total, terrible cooking. I don't know what the chef was thinking serving such poor fare. Service was friendly and the...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at a fantastic Mexican restaurant that completely blew me away! Right from the start, I treated myself to the totopos guacamole and the tequeños guacamole, and let me tell you, they were nothing short of divine! Each scoop of guacamole was a bright burst of zesty lemon goodness, perfectly balanced to make every bite utterly addictive.
Then came the tinga de pollo tacos, and wow-my taste buds were on a joy ride! The freshness of the corn tortillas was simply out of this world, boasting that authentic homemade corn flavor that made me feel like I was in Mexico. If you're craving an unforgettable dining experience that tantalizes your taste buds, you absolutely have to check this place out!
To add to the experience, the staff members were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Their warm smiles and genuine hospitality truly...
