Went for diner on a friday night. We were told before that the place was extremely busy between 8-10 pm, so we entered at 10.15 pm. Place was still quite crowded, but we were seated instantly. And then, we waited... After some 10 minutes we finally receive a menu. Menu itself isn't that extensive, it's a streetfood/tapas concept, so we choose a couple of dishes, about 6 of them, and a coctail, since the place is famous for it. Then, we waited again... All this time before we got the menu and before we could order, we were surrounded by waiters, working the tables next to us, chatting with their customers etc. Place was busy, but empty tables were showing and staff was ample. When we finally placed our order, things went faster. Even too fast, first dish was put on the table even before we had our drink. Dishes followed each other smoothly. Except for the last one, of which no one seemed to know for sure if we already had it or not. Getting the bill involved a lot of...waiting. When we finally got it we just stood up and went to pay at the register, since we couldn't bear more waiting. We were inside for over 1,5 hours, getting 1 drink and 6 small dishes. Don't get me wrong, it isn't a bad restaurant. The drinks were great (try the caipirina with wasabi!) and the food, though slightly overpriced, was delicious (the banana doce! the chicken chipotle!). Staff itself was very friendly and helpfull, once they noticed you. They're just not really... efficient... Not sure if I would return here on a next visit. There are much cousier places around Paris for a couple, where the music...

Tucked away in the 2nd arrondissement like a well-kept culinary secret (that everyone is buzzing about), Uma Nota is what happens when Rio and Tokyo decide to throw a dinner party—and everyone’s invited.
From the moment you walk in, the vibe is unmistakably cosmopolitan: the soundtrack flirts with samba and electro, the lighting is moody in all the right ways, and the staff carries that rare mix of warmth and sharp efficiency. It feels like the kind of place where good things happen—romantic second dates, spontaneous toasts, and possibly the best meal you’ll have this month.
But the real star is what lands on your table.
The menu is a vibrant love letter to Nikkei cuisine, the Japanese-Brazilian fusion born from decades of migration and culinary curiosity. The flavors are bold but balanced, the textures playful, and every dish feels both rooted and adventurous—as if tradition and innovation struck a very tasty truce.
A standout? The crispy tapioca and cheese cubes (don’t let their humble appearance fool you—they vanish fast), followed by the octopus served on a smoky grill plate, tender enough to convert the skeptical and you’ll understand why some people start planning their next visit before dessert arrives.
Which reminds me: order dessert.
In short, Uma Nota isn’t just another trendy fusion spot—it’s a place where cultures collide with grace and a dash...

The concept is Brazilian-Japanese, but based on the dishes we chose I didn’t really get much of the Japanese influence.
For starters we tried the Dadinhos de Tapioca, Coxinha, Pão de Queijo Trufado and the Beef Yakitori. Portions were generous and beautifully presented. The flavors, however, were a bit on the mild side – except for the Pão de Queijo, which was outstanding! The side sauces definitely lifted the starters, especially the dips with the Coxinha and Dadinhos, and the vinaigrette that came with the beef.
The Pão de Queijo with Truffles was the highlight of the evening – such a delicate balance of flavors, with just the right touch of truffle.
For the main course we had the Robalo em Folha de Bananeira. A light and beautifully cooked dish – the fish melted in the mouth – but it could have used a bit more seasoning and flavor. The farofa was also a little dry and I would have loved a bit more of it on the plate.
Service was excellent! The whole team was friendly, and a special thanks to our server Luis, who really took care of us and made the evening feel special.
Overall, I really liked this restaurant. The Brazilian food, for me, could have had a bit more of those bold, authentic Brazilian flavors – but it was still a very enjoyable experience. I’d recommend this spot for a nice evening out...
