The place online looked pretty promising. Ordering was easy. Somehow the guy behind the counter was surprised they had customers and didn't say a word but appeared to be kind and understanding. So no issue here yet.
Went back to our hostel and ate our food there. Here is where the 2 stars come in. I've had my fair share of vegan fast food around the continent and this is probably the least satisfying vegan food I've had thus far. From the diluted drinks, to the minimal amount of sauce.
For 7/8 euros these wraps are beyond underwhelming, I was honestly a bit offended with their size. There were like 5/6 pieces of fake meat in them and barely any sauce. The chicken was the worst. The kebab had at least some flavor.
The bread of the burger was stale and again almost no sauce. And these patties, how ridiculous. It looks like they sliced a single beyond patty in half and then flattened them until there was barely anything left. It takes all the 'meaty-ness' out of them and leaves you with tin slices of cardboard. Very disappointing because beyond meat burgers can be so delicious and I was hyping up my friend to try them. But to no avail sadly. Fries were fine. And still have a hotdog left but it can't promise much good after the other stuff we tried.
I'd be lying if I don't feel scammed by this food. What a waste of my money. This is not how you convince non-vegans like my friend to eat...
Read moreI really like the concept of this place, which is to offer vegan fast food that is made with "high tech" meat-like products. The food is obviously inspired by the big fast food chains and their products. You'll get burgers, fries and wraps made with plantbased meat alternatives which I might call as very close to the original. Therefore the food is quite greasy and does not come along with vegetables, but that's totally okay.
The only thing I have to complain about is that when I visited Furahaa, there was no visible sign telling that the staff there is deaf-mute. Unaware of that, I started talking to the woman behind the counter who could not hear what I was saying. The situation went quite embarassing for me when another woman, who possibly was a customer, quite harshly pointed to a sign that was placed way above visible height. I expected a bit more sensitive information about their social commitments, especially for tourists and non-residents. But later, another two guys working there were so lovely and helpful that I soon forgot the awkard situation before.
As long as you are aware of all that, the concept works quite well - at least it did for me...
Read moreThe most delicious vegan food you'll ever eat. It was so good I ate here 2 days during my vacation even though I wanted to try a different place everyday- this place was worth a 2nd visit!!! I’ve had vegan burgers all of the world- LA, NYC, London… and this takes 1st place hands down. 🙏🏻🤘🏻
Super kind staff, inclusivity focused (the owner is deaf & has so much info about sign language for all to learn!) all vegan and just darn good amazing food!
I read a lot of reviews about how GOOD this spot is but I was blown away in person! Everything was cooked fresh & tasted super fresh. The burger was perfectly cooked, the bun was fresh, melty vegan cheese, delicious sauce! Oh and the amazing fries!!! It hit the spot after a long day exploring Paris & it’s so amazing to support a deaf owned business that is thriving in a not so vegan friendly city! Super KUDOS on that! Vegans- this is a MUST try while in Paris! 🍔🍔 Don’t skip - and in fact, plan on coming a couple times 🤣 And plan on missing it the second you leave the city! Thanks Furahaa!...
