A wonderful experience. Caroline is a great host. The food was refined well seasoned and delicious. I thought the Maigre with Sarasin, shitake and andouille was the star of the show that was until the desserts arrived. Amongst a few of us we had the Sablé au fraises, the Pomme fondante and the Craquant au praliné. They were all wonderful. My favourite was the Craquant. My favorite restaurant in St Malo, France. The owner is fantastic, must make a reservation. The ambience is fantastic, low light, good music. Not too many tables- so quality service is excellent. We went here 2 nights in a row to try everything on the menu. Everything here is very good from the spritz to the wine list in terms of drinks. The appetizers we loved : Tomato and Burrata, Foie Gras, Carpaccio and Oysters.. Main Course both the tuna rare and pork excellent. Desserts are outstanding- no matter which one you choose. We had a wonderful evening at La Fourchette a Droite. The food is fabulous - accomplished cooking based on local ingredients, full of flavour. The set menu is reasonably priced at €35 euros and there's a short list of good wines available by the glass. Our two teenage children have very different tastes, but were both very happy with their choices. Waiting staff were welcoming and responsive. La Fourchette is a small restaurant so booking is highly recommended, and can be done online.
