L'Endroit — Restaurant in Sarlat-la-Canéda

Very rude, impolite service.

Dear sir,

I will try my best to explain to you why my partner and me were shocked by the behaviour of your staff. This is in a nutshell our special experience at L´Endroit:

We wanted to have lunch at your place, so we sat down at a table for two on the terrace under the trees at the other side of the street. A waiter told us that this terrace was only for drinks. OK. All fine, so we crossed the street to the terrace in front of the bar. We selected there a table, indeed one for four persons. Not a single comment was made by the staff at that moment. Moreover, both adjacent tables were also occupied by only two persons. That was apparently no problem. When we were sitting there for at least five minutes, a group of four persons arrived. A waiter asked us to move to another table for only two persons. However, we did not like the position of that table at all. So, I explained we would prefer to stay at our table. Then it turned out that we had no option. We had to move. We found that a bit bizarre, as on both adjacent tables there were only two people seated. I explained this to the waiters, but no mercy. As the other table was not appealing to us, we preferred to leave. All fine so far. At that moment, we got the best surprise! We got ‘’en pleine public’’ two patronizing comments from the staff: “You should not be angry.’’ and ‘’You should not be jealous of other clients.’’.

So, to make it crystal clear: I can understand that your staff shifts clients around in order to optimize the revenues. However, I find it rude that your staff gives nasty comments to people who prefer to leave and prefer not to participate in this shifting around.

Stopped for a quick bite to eat & some cold drinks. Good service, ice cold drinks and a lovely pizza, really thin crispy baked base with herbs, very nice.

The waitress even bought a bowl of cold water for our dog, without being asked, which was a really nice touch. There's seating adjacent to the car park opposite under the shade of the trees if you want just drinks or for food & drinks there's a covered area next to the main bar...

L'accueil est le seul point positif de ce restaurant, la pizza n'a aucun goût, aucune préparation en amont, les ingrédients sont de bien piètre qualité, c'est bien simple une seul part mangée, j'ai toujours fini mon assiette mais là ce n'est pas possible. Franchement, ce restaurateur devrait s'orienter dans un autre corps de métier que la restauration. La brasserie ne veut pas dire mauvaise cuisine. Enfin pour faire court restaurant a éviter. Pour faire suite à la réponse que j'ai eu en dessous, je suis bien un vrai client, ticket de carte bleu a l'appui, et quand j'ai quelque chose a dire, je le dis, que çà plaise ou non. Je mets très rarement une note négative. Le soir, ou nous sommes venus manger, nous étions deux. Mon camarade et moi même, avons eu la même appréciation sur votre restaurant, nous nous sommes bien entendu plaints de notre repas auprès du serveur, clairement "avez-vous passé un bon repas" réponse en argumentant "NON, ce n'est pas de la bonne cuisine". Il y a d'autres commentaires, dans les critiques en dessous qui sont négatives. A vous de vous remettre en question❓OUI je travaille avec des produits de qualité et je travaille mon produit pour en tirer le meilleur ou NON je continue a tirer les prix sur la cam et a proposer une cuisine au client de bien piètre qualité, a...
