Les P'tites Cocottes — Restaurant in Strasbourg

Horrible experience, very unprofessional and impolite staff!!

We were offered a seat inside the Restaurant as outside was full, we were with a year old baby and should leave the babycar outside because inside is small, also they denied give us a more spacious table and there is no special chairs for kids.

We ordered at same time than the only other 2 tables seated inside , and after 45 minutes of waiting the other tables were finishing their meal while we were still waiting for our simple starter, a Flammkuchen.

We saw a empty table outside and asked to switch the tables as it was a long waiting, the table were tight and the baby was also getting restless. The answer was a direct And impolite NO!! Just because NO!! We decide to leave as the vibes were horrible, and no reason to wait more there, We asked for the bill for the water we had as they hadn’t yet started to make our food and we were also charged for a Flammkuchen that...

When my bf visited Strasbourg a year before, he said that it has the best German food he ever had. I was really curious to find out how much better "the best" was, and, well, I can honestly say Strasbourg has the best German food I ever tasted.

The tart flambe/flammkuche (We had Munster version with Munster cheese) was very good and better than in most places in Germany. But what especially struck me as different was the haxe (pork shoulder). In Germany, it's usually very hard, especially the skin, and the meat is bland. But here, it was soft, juicy - both the skin and the meat. I wasn't a fan of haxe before, but I am a fan of this version (only - there could be more potatoes with this meal, just 1,5 potatoes is not enough:)).

I am here at my reservation time, but the man at the desk told me that they canceled the reservations from Google and fork. We are three people, on time, and when he showed me his application he saw my name but still he told me that he is not going to get us because it is full.
