It was so pleasant pulling up to this hotel. It was so beautifully and whimsically decorated for the holidays. You have to walk down a small pathway to get to the entrance of the hotel, which was also fantastically decorated. The staff at the desk are very pleasant and welcoming, very accommodating. The hotel definitely has a dated feel about it, but that’s not a big issue for me. The room was decently spacious, and well-maintained, though the decor is a little bit kitsch, a little disjointed. Just not my taste. There is a coffee and tea machine, and a nice bottle of water to use freely. There’s also a wardrobe and a safe. It’s a very comfortable and pleasant room overall. The bathroom is wonderfully spacious, and also feels very well-maintained, and much more modern than the room. Very nice shower. There is, of course, the water closet with the toilet, just next to the bathroom, which is pretty standard for France. The one issue was that there is a small frosted window between the water closet and the bathroom for some unknown reason. This is one hotel where you will have an actual key for the room, but you can easily leave it with the people at the desk when you go out. The couple of minuses are the TV, which seems to be an issue with most French hotels. You can watch the normal cable TV, but for those who don’t speak French, that won’t be an option. The TV doesn’t have any apps, so there’s no possibility to connect to Netflix or anything. That leads me to the other minus, which was the Wi-Fi, which was basically public Wi-Fi; the hotel doesn’t have its own private network. That could be an issue for people who are worried about internet security. On top of that, the Wi-Fi didn’t stay well connected during the day; I noticed it seemed to be stronger at night. This could be an issue for people who really depend on hotel Wi-Fi. Just being a modern traveler, you like knowing you can go back to your hotel, and do some real internet surfing or streaming. All in all, I would certainly consider staying here again.

We spent three nights at Hotel Beaucour and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was quaint and full of character, with exposed wooden beams that added to the charm. The hotel’s garden entrance immediately set a welcoming tone, and the view from our room was lovely. The common spaces were just as inviting—the coffee bar in the lounge was excellent, and we appreciated the warm, friendly, and accommodating staff. A thoughtful touch was the umbrellas they provided for all three of us during a few rainy days, which made exploring so much easier. The location is unbeatable. We were able to walk everywhere, from the stunning cathedral to Petite France, and found ourselves surrounded by excellent restaurants — a must in a city like Strasbourg, which is such a culinary haven. What really stood out was how well the hotel preserved its historic energy. It felt like we were experiencing a piece of Strasbourg’s heritage while still enjoying modern comfort. Highly recommended for anyone looking for both charm and convenience in this beautiful city.

Centrally located, beautiful boutique hotel with friendly staff. The hotel entrance is very cute with lights and half timbered facades to mimic the buildings in the old town of Strasbourg. We booked a comfort queen room, which was perfect for our 3 night stay. They had a coat rack with some hangers by the door and a fairly spacious bedroom and bathroom given that this was a comfort room. This was also one of the few places we stayed where water from the shower didn't leak onto the bathroom floor. One unfortunate thing was our room didn't have a kettle, however, they did have a kettle in the lobby, so my friend ended up using that in the mornings. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Strasbourg cathedral and an easy tram ride (4 stops) to the train station. I also booked this place for its quieter environment as I'd read that many hotels within old town had loud noise until late at night. There were several restaurant options one street down from the hotel that were open late as well. Overall highly recommend!

Hotel Beaucour enjoys a perfect location right in the heart of Strasbourg, making it an excellent starting point for exploring the city on foot. The property itself is full of charm – a romantic, traditional half-timbered house beautifully decorated with flowers. Each room is unique, and the room we had this time was pleasant and nicely furnished. The bathroom was particularly lovely, and the overall cleanliness throughout the hotel was excellent. For the room, the price was fair.||The staff were very friendly and helpful, which added to the welcoming atmosphere.||However, the breakfast experience was really disappointing. The dining area is much too small for the number of guests. On two mornings, we couldn’t find a table and had to return 20 minutes later. The buffet selection is very limited and the quality below expectations. What was most frustrating was that key items such as baguette and butter ran out (on both days) and were not replenished for a long time. On the first day, no bread was refilled at all for nearly half an hour, and we left. It was clear that the staff were doing their best, but with only one person responsible for the entire room, it was simply unmanageable.||If we should return to this hotel, we will definitely skip the breakfast and spend the 20 euros per person in a nearby...
