English: We arrived at this restaurant at 11:40 a.m. (already open) and waited at the entrance for a server to seat us. From that moment, the two female servers clearly saw us but chose not to acknowledge us (the restaurant only had one or two people having drinks, so it wasn’t busy). A long while later, they came over and asked if we were having lunch. We said yes, and they told us lunch would only start in 10 minutes. We agreed to wait and ordered drinks in the meantime. After finishing our drinks, we signaled several times with eye contact that we wanted to order food, but despite making direct eye contact many times, neither server approached us—even to give us a menu. We waited for a full hour without being served, then finally went to the bar to request menus ourselves. After getting the menus, we waited another 40 minutes, signaling multiple times, but were still completely ignored. Meanwhile, they were warm, attentive, and efficient with other local-looking customers. We began to suspect we were deliberately ignored because of our Asian appearance, as though they were trying to make us leave. After wasting two precious hours of our lives, we left €10 in cash (our drinks were €7) and walked out. As we left, one of the servers came face to face with us but quickly looked away without a word and without asking if we had paid. The entire experience was frustrating, disappointing, and left us with serious concerns about discriminatory treatment toward Asian customers.

Read moreI’ve traveled to more than 40 countries, met people from all walks of life, and dined in countless restaurants. Yet, I have never experienced anything like this — a group of waitresses seemingly united in a deliberate effort to ignore us, nor have I ever witnessed a server openly drinking excessively while on duty.
From the moment we waited politely at the door to when we finally stepped inside, we were treated with a level of indifference that felt far from fair. Our warm greeting was met with selective blindness; the two waitresses looked right past us. Inside, they avoided eye contact or, when it happened, turned to whisper to each other as if planning how to continue ignoring us. We eventually fetched our own menus and sat watching them warmly attend to other guests, while we were left untouched — no table set, no order taken, no food served. 2 hours later, we walked out, not because we wanted to, but because they had made it clear we were never meant...
Read moreThe waitress was heavily drinking alcohol during her shift—far beyond any acceptable limit at work. She was rude, disrespectful and completely ignored us because we are Asian despite we respectfully trying to talk to her in French, while warmly serving other local customers. This was unequal treatment based on people’s background and unprofessional misconduct and made us feel uncomfortable and disregarded with the service. Our day and the entire trip to Evian was...
