The Cavern Bar — Restaurant in Thonon-les-Bains

We ended up going here nearly every night of our stay in Morzine. Great, friendly bar staff with fast service. You get better service on the WC side of the bar. Great live music in the evening, we were all singing along 3 or 4 drinks in. Some great freeride/freestyle ski/snowboard footage on the large screens giving us inspiration for crashing/breaking the next day. The beer pumps on the tables were fun on our last night, although not sure unrestricted drinking would have been great for the slopes if we were skiing the next day. Oh yes, we definitely loved it and came here every night of our skiing holiday in Morzine! The early band for the pre-dinner apres session has a great relaxed atmosphere, everybody is up for a chat with random strangers and the happiness is tangible. The second band slot is a much busier and livelier affair, get yourself up the front and do some wild dancing, you'll have a great evening. Regular visits to the Cavern over the last 10 years whilst on short breaks in Morzine girls me that this is the best place to hear live music. Choice and Style of which is eclectic. The experience is sometimes mod by over intoxicated students whose money is welcomed but play for antics not always enjoyed by other clientele.
