Ate here last night with two friends, one had the coute de boof, the other had a diavola pizza I had the pizza with parmesan cheese and parma ham on. Think it was the tricolore.
This was about 8pm, that evening I could not get to sleep and felt really rough.
I then proceeded to wale up at 2:30AM this morning being violently sick as well had having constant diarrhoea.
The pizza was the only thing I ate all day yesterday so this is the root cause of the sickness.
I was sick again another 2 times this morning around 07:00am and 10:00am having then been bed bound and not able to keep anything down.
With constant diarrhoea and feeling nauseous.
We are only here for 3 days in Morzine, this means I have lost around £50 for rental of my snowboard for the day today as well as about £50 for my ski pass which I cannot use today.
Hopefully I feel better tomorrow otherwise it will have been a well and truly wasted trip...
Read moreWe ended up at the Alpine Lounge because my partner loves pineapple with her fondue and while it is not common in French fondue places, this restaurant served pizza with pineapple, so we knew they had the materials. We asked and they did indeed accommodate us (after some surprise). It was canned and added 4 euros to the bill, but it was pineapple nonetheless. In retrospect, we should probably have opted for their pizzas which looked quite good, while the fondue was not special. The bread was just stale instead of dried, the cures meats were ok. The only veggies were a few pickles, so I ordered some assorted veggies and fries specifically for dipping as explained. They both came very salty which in combination with the extremely salty fondue cheese had me drinking a few litres of water...
Read moreGood place for a quiet beer in the bar and they serve Mont Blanc brewery beers. The food was an unexpected find. Did not have pizza that might but looked good and will return to try. My entrecote was disappointing. For some reason they felt a need to pound it and was served over done, coming medium to well when I asked for blue. However, my friends raved about the lamb Parmentier (shepherds pie) and said the tartiflette was on 'steroids' for flavour. Service was a bit sketchy. A busy place so best to book. The 'tented' dining area was a bit difficult to regulate the temperature as it was a cold spell and the gas heaters on one end of the long table roasted those closest. Overall worth going for the...
