We needed to kill 4 hours before checking in, and to get out the rain. This was the perfect spot. We had 2 bottles of wine, with expert advice from a knowledgeable sommelier.
The food was top drawer with some cheffy takes that worked for us. We had 3 starters among 2 because they all sounded so interesting. The mains were cooked perfectly and delicious. We were too full for deserts. The clientèle were a mixture at 11h00 of grandparents or parents with kids for tea, and at from 12h00 when the kitchen opened, a mix of young families, and pensioner's enjoying superb food at reasonable prices. After 13h00, our highlight began, a table of 12 celebrating a 28yo birthday arrived. The eat drank and had a lot of fun, so many shooters, we ordered some ourselves. Read moreBring your own tea bags as breakfast tea is exceptionally weak, far weaker than Lipton's (French) tea (or ask for 3 tea bags each). Maybe try Roobios tea?? They also do Earl Grey tea. Hopefully the coffee is better. However, the terrace outside is very nice and set back from the main road's small 'roundabout' , with pleasant atmosphere. 10 metres from 'St Cyprien Republic' tram stop (€1.80 per ticket) . Read moreI can only rate as excellent the service and ambience. We were on the terrace at dusk, mostly drinking and making a bit of a mess because we started four and ended nine people. The servers were kind and helpful, and contributed to the lively spirit of the terrace. We ate some cheese (that was excellent) and the other plates that came out to our neighboring tables looked very good. Great place to have a few drinks...
