Over-rated, this place..It was full during lunch service. I come from Japan, and I will tell you, this was bad yakitori. Legit bad. Dry, was so dry. The beauty of yakitori is that they cut it small and put on skewer that it will be undeniably juicy. And Japoyaki served very small pieces of meat in the stick and yet they were so dry. I don’t understand how you can eff up yakitori. Don’t they know brine? And the meat, it’s bbq..Just that, so use good beef. The sauce was not good either. And the size, oh the size, I have been to other Japanese restaurants in Toulouse and while this place and all the other restaurants have had unsatisfactory sushi, I had way better yakitori at least at other places as they served them bigger portion. Oh and not dry, I will not shut up about the lack of juicyness. Déso pas déso. I was super craving for yakitori when I came here, and the let down was big. Even the rice was not satisfactory. We put more seaweed than mushroom in miso soup but I guess they altered the miso soup to the likeness of how French would love it, that’s okay. But..The sushi to rice ratio was so poor and they serve it with no shame, France had made it normal to serve thin sliced sashimi on top of a three-finger size roll of rice that we call sushi. This is unforgivable in Japan. Not even the cheap sushi restaurants do it there, so why spit on the art of sushi like that? Also, while I appreciate that they kind of pretend they are Japanese by doing the costume and having “Hachimaki”(headband tied showing courage, effort or bravery in Japan) for a full Japanese dining experience..Well if the food is at least even okay then all good to put on a costume but when they serve Japanese food as bad as they do and put on a Hachimaki while they obviously look like Vietnamese immigrants, I’m cringing.
If you want decent Japanese, Iori is the one to satisfy. I’ve been looking for a Japanese restaurant that I could alternate with Iori when I crave Japanese food, but I...
Read moreWe liked the food of this restaurant, but we got in love with the people who manage this place 💖. At first we were worried about finding a place where we could take our dinner with my little dog, and they let us entering with a friendly smile😊 . That day was my birthday, so talking with the bar tender girl I told it to her, and sorprisingly she gave me a dessert with a little candle 🧁🥰 . To finish, this girl, so politely told us many places to go sightsitting, to take a drink and to go shopping. She gave us a paper with many things alredy writted👌 We went from the restaurant with a certain sadness because we hadn´t coins to give they a tip, but clearly we are going to come again in the next travel...
