What a delightful discovery! This traditional French restaurant sits in one of those charming neighborhoods that's both quiet and lively – the perfect setting for an authentic meal. The service was excellent from start to finish. Our server was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work. The portions? Absolutely generous! This is proper French comfort food that actually fills you up, with rich, traditional flavors that hit the spot every time. The atmosphere was fantastic – mostly locals who clearly know their way around good food. Lots of animated French conversations and laughter that made us feel like we'd found a real neighborhood secret. Delicious tartes du jour. We had one with ham, goat cheese and zucchini, and the other with curry chicken, blue cheese and mushrooms. Both were surprisingly delicious! It is served with a large portion of letuce salad, and for €13, this "dish of the day" includes an espresso and desert. Unfortunately the crème brûlée was just ok. Service varied depending on server, some were rushed but the one who took care of us was great and suggested the perfect Chardonnay to go with it. I absolutely loved this place. I had been looking for a little restaurant that fitted my mental image of France and this place hit the nail right on the head.
