Review: Grilltown Batumi – A Complete Disappointment
My friend and I, visiting from Germany, were looking forward to a nice evening at Grilltown in Batumi. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing – marked by terrible service, rude staff, and complete disregard for guests.
Service: A Disaster
Upon arrival, no one acknowledged us. We sat at the table for 20 minutes without any attention. After repeatedly trying to get someone’s attention by waving, a waitress finally came – only to scold us in a loud and rude tone, telling us our behavior was inappropriate. This was incredibly disrespectful.
Handling of Complaints: Rude and Defensive
When we asked to speak with the manager, we were denied and questioned as to why we even wanted to speak to one. This kind of reaction is highly unprofessional and unacceptable.
Order: Carelessness and Negligence
We ordered a grill platter with fried potatoes. When it was served, the potatoes fell partially onto the table and onto the floor. Nobody apologized or offered to bring a new portion. It was completely ignored.
Staff: Arrogant and Unprofessional
The staff showed zero customer care, acted arrogantly, and seemed completely uninterested in providing any form of decent service. Hospitality was nowhere to be found.
Conclusion: Absolutely Not Recommended
The food was average at best, the service was terrible, and the prices are unjustified. I will never return to this place and I cannot recommend it to anyone. There are hundreds of restaurants in Batumi where guests are treated with respect and where service matters. Grilltown is not one of them. There are clear problems with management, service, and overall...
Read moreLovely old building. Good wine, nice atmosphere. I went for the Spaghetti Bolognese, my friend had the ribs. My food was tasty, they didn't remove the film on the ribs as you should when these ribs are cooked, so the meat didn't fall off as it should. It's worth eating here just for the ambience, but to be honest, the many Geogian establishments selling traditional food for half this price is my preference. EDIT I came back here, as you can see from my review, it was not a bad experience. Well, this visit was shocking! The staff are unbelievable rude! Such a shame. We were sat for 20 minutes waiting for someone to take my order, half empty restaurant, with a lot of staff. I managed to get his attention and asked him if we could order, he actually tutted and sighed. He just said WHAT aggressively. He forgot half of the order, and just walked around giving dirty looks and really bad attitude. I will never step foot in this place again. It was so bad it was funny. It's just in me to be rude, so I actually still said goodbye to a few people on my way out. But I got...
Read moreI recently had an incredible lunch experience centered around a perfectly cooked pork steak, and it was a culinary delight worth sharing. The atmosphere of the restaurant set nicely, with warm lighting and an inviting decor that made me feel right at home. When the pork steak arrived, I was immediately struck by its presentation—a beautifully seared piece of meat, garnished with fresh herbs and a drizzle of savory sauce. The first bite was nothing short of amazing. The pork was tender and juicy, cooked to perfection with a slightly crispy crust that added a satisfying texture. The seasoning was spot-on, enhancing the natural flavors without overpowering them. Accompanying the steak was a side of roasted vegetables and creamy mashed potatoes, which complemented the dish beautifully. Kachapuri is so good. The service was attentive yet unobtrusive, making sure I had everything I needed while allowing me to savor my meal. Overall, this lunch was a delightful experience, showcasing the versatility and deliciousness of pork steak. I can’t wait to return and explore more...
