Star for delicious khinkali and for its low price🥟 Another star for wheat beer - it was also very good 🍺 However, apart from the good food the restaurant has no other pluses 🤷🏽♀️ The staff treated us unintentionally. Entering the restaurant we asked if it would be possible to sit somewhere further from the entrance, but we were told that there were no other free tables. When the box with comfortable sofas became free, after asking the waiter again about the possibility of changing the table, he asked the manager and replied that the table was already occupied by people who had just entered... the guests entered the box for a while, then changed the seat to a table in the back of the hall (but I guess there were some other seats available 😉). The waiter threw us a plate barely explaining what khinkali are served with. We were cold because the door to the restaurant kept opening. In addition, we were sitting close to the bar and every now and then someone would pass by our table and look at our plate. We felt unwelcome. That's not how guests should feel.
We do not recommend... in other places also you can eat...
Read moreMy recent culinary journey took me to Hacker-Pschorr, a Georgian restaurant in Kutaisi that offers a delightful experience deserving nothing less than a full 5-star rating.
The menu features an enticing array of Georgian specialties, and the ones we sampled were superb. The khachapuri is delectably cheesy, the pork BBQ is succulent, and the khinkali promises a burst of flavour that is hard to resist. The crowning glory, however, is the Georgian salad with walnut. This traditional dish with its unique blend of fresh vegetables and the crunch of walnuts is simply unmissable.
What sets Hacker-Pschorr apart is not only the food but also the excellent service and pricing. The staff exudes genuine friendliness, ensuring a warm, welcoming atmosphere throughout our visit. The prices are incredibly reasonable, making it a great value for such high-quality fare.
In conclusion, if you find yourself in or around Kutaisi, make sure Hacker-Pschorr is on your itinerary. The gastronomic delight that awaits you here is not to be missed. Five out of five,...
Read moreThe numerous good reviews Hacker-Pshorr garnishes are well-founded as this place delivers a solid evening’s entertainment and gastronomic delight. Despite it having a “tourist-centric” reputation we only saw locals that evening. We started off at the bar where tender’s Giga and Irakli entertained us with friendly banter and good local beer. And eventually they persuaded us to sample some authentic Georgian dishes that are excellent. We sat at a table and were served by the lovely Ani who delivered their Khinkali (Dumplings) that are absolutely top-notch mouth-watering and other traditional edibles who’s names escape me. My advice is to just sit-back and let them provide your taste-buds with food and drink. You will not be disappointed. Very good service, great atmosphere, one of our best...
