about the lack of service in my former favorite place in Kutaisi. I have been living in Georgia for 7 years and whenever I came to Kutaisi, I visited myself and brought friends for delicious khinkali and beer. This time I wanted to eat a burger, but since I am allergic to pork and its products, I asked the waiter what kind of meat is in the burger, to which I received the answer that beef. when the burger arrived, it turned out that several pieces of fried ham were placed on top. We were sitting outside, of course there were no waiters. As a result, I pulled out all the ham that was on top and bottom, gave some to my friend, and some to the dogs. While we were having dinner, not a single waiter passed by us. In order to pay off, I had to look for someone to give the money to. Another waiter came with the terminal, I asked him why I was not warned about the pork, although I asked a question. the one who took the order was called. To my question, he was clearly rude to colleagues and me in Georgian and said that he did not know what composition was in the burger. But the guys smoothed over the conflict. they left, my friends and I started packing, and then the first waiter came running asking if we had paid for the order. I jokingly said no. In response, it seemed to me that he was going to punch me in the face. I started asking him why he didn't say anything about the ham, if I accidentally eat it, then I can call an ambulance. To which I received an ingenious answer that I only asked about the cutlet, and not about the rest of the ingredients. Like, it's her own fault.When I said that ham is not vegetables, not a bun, but meat, and as a waiter cannot help but know the ingredients of the dishes, this boy began to make me look guilty. the bartender ran up, I demanded seneger. He was not there, I demanded compensation in the form of any gift or discount for a spoiled mood, the bartender took my phone number, promised on oath that the manager would call, but apparently his work is of the same quality as the work...

Fuimos a cenar en julio y, aunque la comida estuvo aceptable, el servicio y ambiente dejan mucho que desear. Fuera hacía mucho calor y dentro la música estaba tan alta que era difícil conversar. Para empezar, mi padre le preguntó al camarero (en ruso) si había mesas libres. Él solo habla ruso y español, y en Georgia es mucho más fácil encontrar a alguien que hable ruso que español, sobre todo en hostelería. La respuesta fue un “no” seco, sin una mínima intención de ayudar o al menos disimular el desinterés. Solo cuando insistimos y le preguntamos si se liberaría alguna mesa, nos preguntó si hablábamos inglés. Le repetí la pregunta en inglés, y recién entonces nos dijo que podíamos esperar. Sin sonrisa, sin amabilidad, sin el más mínimo esfuerzo. Entiendo que tal vez sea un tema cultural y en Georgia no se lleve lo de sonreír al cliente, pero un simple: “If you wait a little bit we’ll definitely have a table for you” habría cambiado por completo la primera impresión. Además, nos trajo el menú en inglés tras haber quedado claro que mis padres no lo hablaban (vimos en las fotos que había menú en ruso, aunque igual lo quitaron).

Nos atendió una chica, la verdad es que parecía más amable, o al menos intentaba sonreír (algo que se agradece mucho) pero no sé si por la cantidad de horas y si es que era su primer día pero la pobre parecía que no podía más con su vida. La música estaba tan alta que apenas podíamos escucharnos entre nosotras. A eso se sumó el hecho de que cuando le preguntamos por las cervezas, esperando que nos dijera si era rubia/negra, nos dijo simplemente que no sabía. Le dijimos que bueno, no pasa nada, que nos traiga una rubia y dijo que tenía que preguntar. Entiendo que fuera su primer día, con lo que no le dimos importancia, pero si no le hubiéramos dicho nada más nos quedaríamos sin cerveza y me parece que teniendo solo 3 cervezas en la carta y siendo verano los camareros se las deberían saber.

Sobre las bebida: La limonada “casera” sabía artificial, la cerveza tenía demasiada espuma y la botella de vino llegó sin enfriar (¡blanco y en pleno verano!). Nos trajeron solo dos copas para vino, siendo 3, tuvimos que pedir otra. El servicio fue lento e ineficiente, vimos nuestra cerveza en barra mientras los camareros estaban andando de un lado a otro (igual para pedir nota pero teniendo en cuenta que estábamos sentados al lado de la barra no costaba nada acercárnosla de camino) y otro limpiando una mesa (normalmente se le da preferencia al cliente que está sentado no a la limpieza de las mesas). Más tarde incluso vimos un camarero saltando por encima de una silla para pasar, justo detrás de nosotros (algo que queda bastante mal en un restaurante con gente comiendo aunque ya no quedáramos muchos para aquel entonces). Luego había otro chico que, de vez en cuando, nos traía las cosas e intentaba sonreír (y aunque la sonrisa se notara forzada, se agradecía). Pero, en general, tengo que decir que el servicio fue flojo. La decoración estaba bien, e incluso tenían dos pantallas enormes, pero la música era tan alta que impedía conversar con la gente de tu mesa (al menos dentro del local).

La comida estaba buena, tanto el adjarian khachapuri como los khinkhali de carne con especias (los primeros del menú), aunque nos arrepentimos de haber pedido khinkhali con setas. La puntuación podría haber sido de 4, o incluso 5, con una simple sonrisa por parte de los camareros y un mínimo de eficiencia en el trabajo. (¿Vas a tomar nota? Aprovecha y lleva algo a otra mesa. Prioriza al cliente que ya está sentado. Aprende las tres cervezas de la carta. Y, sobre todo, muestra un poco más de interés en lugar de evitar la mirada de los clientes y responder con un simple “no” o “no sé” a cualquier pregunta).

El precio es normal para Georgia: salimos por unos 10-11 € por persona y quedamos bastante satisfechos...

The food is awesome, everything was very delicious and fresh. Portions are more than adequate and prices are very reasonable. However, the service needs some serious improvement. Music is very loud and plates arrive in random order but as far as we saw during our stay this is true for almost every restaurant in Georgia. Still, there was a lot of confusion, many items that we ordered were either late or completely forgotten. We had to ask for our drinks 3 times although that was the first thing we ordered, but somehow when they finally brought them, they still managed to forget my beer.

All in all, great food, unattentive service and the waiters are lucky that service is included in the bill. Would give it another chance, but the guys need some...
