We came to Gistola Restaurant by chance yesterday and we didn’t have high expectations at first as we initially wanted to go somewhere else but they blew us away. So glad we ended up there. Great experience.

Tasty food (especially the eggplant rolls that were among the best we had in Georgia). Serving sizes were giant, the small cheese platter easily serves 2-3. Good choice for vegans and vegetarians. Amazing selection of wines. The waitress was super friendly and also Temo (?) who worked at the reception made our visit unforgettable.

The actual view on the terrace differs from the advertised. 17% service fee added to the bill with no warning whatsoever. They also forgot to cook pasta for my friend, only bringing me my order and then after a reminder they asked again which pasta we had and then cooked it.

One of the places to eat I've loved the most in Georgia. Really delicious food (pork bbq is the best I've tried so far), polite service, nice atmosphere (exquisite interior, calm music). Even though it's a bit too far from the centre of Mestia, it's worth visiting....
