To begin with, sitting at a table, especially at the end of the same terrace, expect that there will be no attention from the staff. We waited, called the staff for 20-30 minutes to give an order and clarify the details of the dish. When the waitress came to the table, at 21:55 with the question "Have you ordered yet?" She said that the kitchen closes at 22:00 and you need to hurry up with the choice of the order (we arrived at ~ 21:00, sat down at the table by 21: 30 because of the queue). Surprisingly, the dishes were ready fairly quickly, but they had no ice at the bar and didn't say so when ordering the cocktail. When asked if there would be a cocktail soon, they said yes, but there was no ice. He asked me to change it to beer, which they never brought, although he reminded me 2 times. In terms of taste, the food is normal in places, not the worst that I have tried, but the ratings are greatly overestimated at the institution. Ordered kubdari, mixed salads, mashed potatoes with cheese, eggplants with cheese Kubdari was with coarse meat and a lot of spices, although in one piece out of four everything was fine Salad mix - beetroot, cabbage with carrots (not sauerkraut) and chicken (fillet with a lot of dill and bell pepper) Cheese mash - was ok Eggplant with cheese - were in my opinion the most delicious. But a small portion. Cheese itself wrapped in eggplant, and on top of a slice of fresh tomato P.S I am from Georgia myself and have eaten Georgian cuisine all my life and it is...
Read moreI don't normally write any reviews, but I must warn others- do not waste your valuable time on holiday and please, please, please visit other places with good food, friendly staff and fast service. Do not get fooled by good reviews, as they are 100% fake. We have been greeted very cold on arrival and we felt very intimidaten with grumpy staff, which was very clear that they are not welcoming russian speaking customers. We have put our large order down in English and had drinks on our table quite quick. Within half an hour some other food has come through, which turns out to be rewarmed food. We were disgusted with khachapuri, as we found hair in it. In one hour I have asked for our shashlik (meat on scewers) and has been assured it is coming soon. However, received it in 2 hours from time we have ordered it. All our side orders has been cold or consumed by that time and meat was very dry and tested like rubber dipped in herbs. We have asked for bill and has been surprised to see some food added to our bill, which never has been brought to our table. I have asked it to remove from bill. Also, they have added 10% service charge, but this place doesn't deserve it!!! Again, it is not worth to waste your time and money at this place and there is a lot of other very good and friendly food restaurants...
Read moreMost of the food is good (although some dishes are a bit on the dry-ish and salty side, as people rightfully highlight). Their yoghurt soup is pretty cool though, and ajapsandali was delicious.
But this place doesn't know what to do with tour groups. They receive the order in advance, yet it doesn't help to make things better and faster, like, at all. They change the serving system all the time (we've been there 3 times, and every time there was something different - one time they would call your name, next time they would ask "who ordered such and such", then they tried to combine both approaches...). They would totally forget about parts of your order, and the saddest part is that when you don't hear them yelling your name or don't recognize the name of the dish you ordered immediately (which happens, when the cuisine is new-ish to you), they will yell at you and say things like "I can't work like that". Well...
This happened at least 2 times with our group of around 35 people. I don't know if they do this to individual guests, but this felt bad, honestly. I get it when people get confused, forget stuff and are just overworked, but it seems that here at least some guests are being yelled at because the place didn't come up with a working system for feeding larger groups without driving their...
