Galash-R — Hotel in Mestia

We had a perfect winter holiday in this hotel! The facilities are new, our room was tasteful and had a great mountain view (you can see the ski lift from bed). It's close to the center of Mestia but the neighborhoud is nice and quiet. Delicious food. It's a real home away from home! The hosts were extremely helpful in organizing our trips and transfers as well as sharing their knowledge about the area. The family has their own Svani tower which is 1000 y.o.! Also, the hotel has a power generator which is very important as Mestia has been experiencing severe electricity issues this year in particular. But it's always light and warm here!...

Our stay at Hotel Galash-R was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed — the atmosphere is so warm and friendly that it instantly felt like home. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

The service was exceptional throughout our stay, and the food was another highlight — delicious, homemade, and full of local flavor. It’s rare to find a place that combines comfort, hospitality, and authenticity so perfectly.

What a wonderful gem of a hotel! Truly the most kind, gracious, and welcoming staff I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. We stayed for only two days unfortunately but we were greeted with incredible authentic food (some of the best food I’ve had) and clean, comfy rooms with jaw dropping views of the mountains.
