If you are visiting Mestia, you MUST take the chairlift and gondola to the top of the ridge for incredible views and lots of easy hiking overlooking the valley. One of the best ways to get the superb mountain views in the area. The lower chairlift is reasonably easy to get on and off by foot, but requires having good physical mobility (not for people with mobility issues or very small children). The upper gondola is enclosed and more accessible. There is a large restaurant at the top of the gondola with incredible views over the valley.
