Hexenhof am Apfelbaum — Restaurant in Aachen

The food is nice and affordable, but we will never come there again on a weekend/holiday season. We had dinner there on a rainy Friday, and everything went smoothly. Our food came quickly and we even got a free appetizer and a small desert. We also made a reservation for the next evening/Saturday. That evening we weren't happy with the service, because the restaurant was so full of customers. First we waited 15 minutes to even make an order, then we waited 40 minutes on the food. And then, we waited 15 more minutes for our waiter to bring us the check. The older man/waiter, didn't actually give me the check/bill, he just took my credit card and asked me to approve, and left without saying goodbye. 🤷 I found that kind of unfriendly. The girls who worked there were nice, and also came with some water for our dog. Both days we ordered their homemade orange lemonade; on Friday it was really good in a nice glas with orange slices and ice cubes. On Saturday, it was served in a ordinary glas with nothing else, and tasted like orange juice mixed with...

Bad experience During the dinner a waiter poured a glass of beer over me: my jumper was completely wet. I understand it’s something that can happen and he didn’t do on purpose, but the bad thing was that at the end of the dinner when we received the bill, we would expect at least a discount, or the owner coming to ask if she could offer anything. She did not show up and no discounts were offered at all. Moreover, in the dessert list there is strudel with a boule of vanilla ice cream and we asked if we could have only the chocolate ce cream: not possible. they are just inflexible. I felt I had a very bad experience and the owner just showed its incapability of dealing with clients. I will never come back...

Currywurst mit Pommes Frites !!!

In unserem Leben haben wir schon viele, sehr viele, Currywürste mit und ohne Pommes Frites essen dürfen. -

Heute mit einer größeren Gruppe auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt Aachen und dann u.a. das erlebt :

An Eurem Stand auf dem Aachener Weihnachtsmarkt u.a. Currywurst mit Pommes Frites verzehrt.

Die Currywurst war eine undefinierbare Wurst in einer undefinierbaren dunklen, fast schwarzen Soße. Die Wurststücke sehr sehr klein geschnitten, so daß die Menge der kleinen Scheibchen keine ganze Wurst ergeben konnte.

Geschmacklich hatte das nichts, aber auch gar nichts mit dem Begriff Currywurst zu tun.

Die Pommes Frites waren zwar aus frischen Kartoffeln, aber sie hatten eine Konsistenz, bei der jeder von uns erkennen konnte, das Sie schon mindestens dreimal durch frittiert waren und somit sehr kross. Essbar waren nicht alle Pommes Frites, weil sie zu kross und zu durchfrittiert waren.

Alles in allem eine herbe Enttäuschung ! 😵😫😓😩😕🤨☹️😟🥺😵😫😓😩😵

Was da serviert wurde, das grenzt essensmäßig an Körperverletzung.

Und die Portion Currywurst mit Pommes Frites kostet sage und schreibe 9,50€.

Eine Frechheit für das was auf dem Teller war.

Ein Stern in dieser Bewertung ist ein Stern zuviel.

Ihr solltet Euch schämen, ein derartiges Gericht in der Öffentlichkeit anzubieten.
