Subject: Disappointing Experience at Wirtshaus am Dom – April 6, 2025

Dear Wirtshaus am Dom Team,

I was invited by Bauer to Munich to attend the Bauma. I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the service I experienced during our visit to your restaurant in Augsburg on April 6, 2025.

While we initially enjoyed our dinner and a bottle of Salzl Zweigelt Reserve 2019, we asked for a recommendation for a second wine. The waiter suggested a Trollinger Trocken. After tasting it, I politely commented that it felt too light compared to the first wine.

To my surprise, the waiter responded—using a phone translator—with the phrase "it was your problem." When I asked to speak with the owner, he told me he was the boss. When I replied that we would not return, he answered, "it's up to you."

This kind of response was shocking and unprofessional, especially from someone claiming to represent the restaurant as the manager or owner. It left a very negative impression on all of us.

As visitors from abroad to Germany, we were looking forward to experiencing warm Bavarian hospitality. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below our expectations.

I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used as an opportunity to improve how guests are treated...

We had a great start to the evening — enjoyed our meal and a lovely bottle of Salzl Zweigelt Reserve 2019. When we asked for a second wine recommendation, your waiter suggested the Trollinger Trocken. After tasting it, we mentioned it felt a bit too light compared to the first one.

Wir hatten das Vergnügen, das "Wirtshaus am Dom" in Augsburg zu besuchen und wir wurden sicherlich nicht enttäuscht. Die Atmosphäre dieses Restaurant ist unvergleichlich und verströmt einen Hauch von Einfachheit und Eleganz, die perfekt zur städtischen Aura von Augsburg passt.

Zunächst einmal kann man nicht über das "Wirtshaus am Dom" sprechen, ohne die außergewöhnliche Speisenqualität zu erwähnen. Die Spätzlepfanne mit Schweinefilet und Rahmpilzen war wirklich herausragend. Das Schweinefilet war unglaublich zart und saftig, während die Spätzle genau den richtigen Grad an Fluffigkeit und Geschmack boten. Die Rahmpilze fügten dem Gericht eine zusätzliche Schicht an Geschmack hinzu und rundeten das Geschmackserlebnis perfekt ab. 😋

Als nächstes kam die Grillpfanne mit Rumpsteak, Schweinefilet und Hähnchenfleisch, dazu Rahmsauce und Kartoffeln. Was für ein Leckerbissen! Die Kombination aus Rumpsteak, Schweinefilet und Hähnchenfleisch bot einen schönen Mix an Aromen und Texturen. Die Rahmsauce war cremig und würzig, perfekt um das Fleisch zu begleiten. Die Kartoffeln waren perfekt zubereitet und bildeten eine willkommene Beilage, die gut mit den Fleischsorten harmonierte. 😍

Besonders bemerkenswert war, dass das Restaurant auf unsere speziellen Wünsche einging. Wir wollten die Beilage gegen Kartoffeln austauschen, was ohne Probleme möglich war. Dieser flexible Service ist ein Beweis dafür, wie sehr das "Wirtshaus am Dom" seine Kunden schätzt.👍

Das Personal im "Wirtshaus am Dom" verdient ebenfalls eine besondere Erwähnung. Jeder war freundlich, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Es war offensichtlich, dass sie sehr gut geschult waren und sich um das Wohl der Kunden kümmerten. Jeder Wunsch wurde mit einem Lächeln erfüllt und das machte unseren Besuch noch angenehmer. 😊

Abschließend können wir sagen, dass das "Wirtshaus am Dom" ein Restaurant ist, das wir definitiv empfehlen können. Die Kombination aus exzellenter Küche, freundlichem Personal und einer einladenden Atmosphäre macht es zu einem Ort, den man unbedingt besuchen sollte, wenn man in Augsburg ist.
