Thalia Kaffeehaus — Restaurant in Augsburg

We unfortunately did not have a good experience, though my friend comes here often and never had a negative experience before. We called to inform that we would be late, once we were sat we waited about 10 minutes before anyone came to our table. We promptly got a bread basket and about 20 minutes later, 2 of the 3 food dishes arrived. Meanwhile we had not gotten our drinks yet. About 10 minutes later my dish finally arrived. It was supposed to be an omelette with bacon and cheese. There was no cheese or bacon. They provided me 2 small pieces of bacon on the side. Our coffees arrived probably about an hour after we had ordered them. Horrible service and not even the correct food! My omelette tasted very bland. A place of nostalgia in which the locals have never been dismissed. I know the Cafe for many years.

Airy and spacious tall ceiling integrate with the dark wooden wall finishing creating a coziness atmosphere.

Certainly it’s old-fashion but always trendy foods prepared for guests. Several Bayrische dishes available, My husband ordered Beef roll that was delicious. But somehow it doesn’t much choice for Vegetarian. But any how the kitchen would like to make sense for me, as a vegetarian.

The location is a bit from central circle but only few minutes walk away from Town Square. The service and the price are both adequate and fair in general.

Came here for breakfast. The place was completely packed so of course service was quite slow but understandable. Got a table quickly without reservation which was great. Ordered the Romeo and Juliette with 2 additional orange juices = €30.50. The scrambled eggs were good. However I found the plating underwhelming and not exactly how described in menu. Barely any Salmon, the fruits didn't exactly seem fresh and mostly consistent of apples. Maybe just got a bad day...but definitely won't do breakfast here again. However may try lunch and see if I have better luck with the food then. Location has an eclectic vibe of the old movies...
