Café Müller — Restaurant in Bamberg

Cozy Café located in the middle of the city with very disappointing food and service!

We were able to find a seat outside without a problem during the middle of the day on Saturday and enjoy the nice atmosphere of a street artists while sipping Aperol Spritz. That being said, service was simply not good - not very pleasant nor engaging, with no English speaking skills. What struck me was the fact there was no willingness to satisfy the customer. I wanted to order 2 dl of secco (only 1 dl option available in the menu) and I was told NO, that is not possible. The answer - that they have only small glasses that cannot contain that much liquid - didn't satisfy me. The menu was available only in German.

The food was bad as well - my Greek salad was a parody of a salad - it was full of lettuce and soaked in Balsamic, barely edible. Drinks were good, normal.

I am still in awe of places like this, located in the middle of a very touristic city, that does not offer payments by card. I would not come back here again, nor would I recommend it to someone else. Visited...

Café Müller is your typical yet charming European Café. Come here and you will be surrounded by university professors and students alike, reading the newspaper and drinking wine. It feels like once of those places that has forever been tied to the history of the city. We came in for lunch, order a couple of Aperol Spritz for the hot summer afternoon. We ordered the pork chops with gnocchi in a heavy mushroom sauce. We also ordered spinach spaghetti with shrimp. Overall, the food got the job done, but unimpressive. I would definitely come back here, but it would not be my first...

Just got thrown out because i was not vaccinated. I had a schnell test which i paid for the sole purpose of being allowed in the coffee shop but they wouldn't accept it. So embarrassing having to leave the premises in front of all those customers. I was treated in an unhuman way and as a 3rd class citizen. I will never step foot there. I would suggest to anyone who wants to have a coffee to go to coffee express which is next to it. They also make better coffee! And why would they ask for my identification? Is this even allowed? If it is not i will report them...
