Şampiyon Kokoreç — Restaurant in Berlin

There are not many kokoreç places in Berlin. You can be surprised, but not many GOOD doner places as well. Luckily, this place has both and I'm really happy to find this place 🙂

It's a self service restaurant. You need to order from the counter before having a seat. They bring the food later.

I have tried both kokorec and doner in here on different days. Both were fantastic considering Berlin and price/performance. I can't complain about the food. It's not Istanbul at the end 😅

As an added bonus, you can have unlimited Turkish tea after your meal. Just grab it from the tea station yourself.

There are seats inside and outside. However, outside is a bit limited. The last time I was there, there were some stupid mafioso types but I just ignored them.

I was there with my family for dinner. The location is fantastic but the atmosphere of the restaurant managed to bring this down. The service was poor at best. They didn’t even bother to open services for us so we had to stare at the appetizers at the table for 15 minutes! I asked for a fork and luckily received one, but it was only me; my wife and daughter was not served one since they didn’t asked! After having my soup and trying to enjoy it they brought my Kokorec and put it at the side so that I could enjoy it cold! And the Kokorec was okay. It was not served chopped enough. Normally it is served in smaller pieces so the fatty bits are not realized. I could eat that but my wife had to pull out those fats since they were too big.
