Piccola Taormina — Restaurant in Berlin

We heard that it’s one of the best Italian restaurants in town. So we came to have lunch today. And it proved that the fame is well deserved. We ordered 2 pieces of pizza and risotto (costs only around 6€), which were both authentic and delicious. The risotto is a plate of plain risotto with different kind of sauce on top, not like the Spanish ones. The price is so friendly that many office workers drop by for their lunch break. The staff are Italians, they are very friendly and respect the guests.

After the meal we ordered cappuccino. It was hot and thick, true authentic coffee. And it costs only 1,8€ yet the taste beats almost all other coffee shop in town. We are amazed by the price and the quality here. It’s almost impossible to find something similar and so affordable in this dead shopping center.

has been great since the 1980's .. straight to the point and delicious. u can get a a slice or a whole pizza, pasta with a great salad, vino, beer, or something else . you step up to the counter and order, then they will announce via speaker that pizza funghi is ready, u go up and get it.... in the summer u sit outside, or enjoy the pretty tight seating inside. lunch is always busy and worth the food every time. beats nyc or chicago pizza!!! has been great every time for the last 30 years, nice little pizza place off the kudamm for reasonable pricing! they are usually very busy and don't babysit their guests... good food and fun times, very...

Ich war schon millionen Mal da, aber ehrlich gesagt, nur weil es sehr günstig ist, ich wohnen da in der Nähe, und kein anderer Italiener ist so günstig. Ich nehme immer alles zum mitnehmen. Ein Platz zum Wohlfühlen ist es nicht. Da ist es immer hektisch, und das Essen was man bestellt hat, wird per Lautsprecher aufgerufen u man holt es dann selber ab. Was ja ok ist bei den Preisen da. Die Mitarbeiter sind alles Männer, u auch schon seit ewig da. Allesamt sind sehr unfreundlich, in all den Jahren hat noch nie einer von denen mal gelächelt, o ein freundliches Wort verloren. Und wie alles beschrieben, konnt ich alles so halbwegs ertragen, weil es günstig ist, u ich es eh zum mitnehmen immer will. Das Essen hat keine herausragende Qualität, sehr einfach, nix besonderes... eben wenn man mal nicht kochen will, o keine Zeit hat, ne schnelle Pasta... dafür ist es ok. Nun war es aber das letzte Mal dass ich da war. Bei meiner Bestellung hat die Hälfte gefehlt, u eines von 2 Pasta Gerichten war völlig falsch, also nicht das, was ich bestellt habe. Der Rest der Bestellung hat ganz gefehlt. Als ich am nächsten Tag wieder hin ging u das erzählte, u fragte, was sie nun gedenken zu tun, wurde ich gewohnt unfreundlichem Ton ausgelacht, und mir wurde ins Gesicht geschrien, kann doch mal passieren.... eine völlige Unverschämtheit. Ich bekam weder ein neues Gericht, noch mein Geld zurück, für das was bei meiner Bestellung gefehlt hat. Leider hab ich ja das alles erst zu hause gesehen, da ja alles verpackt und in einer Tüte war. So geht man nicht mit Gästen um, zumal die mich auch seit Jahren kennen. Da werde ich nie wieder hingehen!! Wenn jemand noch etwas einfaches an Pasta u Pizza (auch echt italienisch) sucht, was ähnlich ist vom Preis, dann geht zur Kantstr. /...
