Big Stuff Smoked BBQ — Restaurant in Berlin

Wanted to get some grub and stumbled upon this place. It’s ok in my opinion. What you see on the foto cost 12€ which is honestly a little pricy, so that’s where a star has to go. Not a best value meal for sure. Second star has to go for the 3 tip stations you pass by whilst ordering, handing your receipt to the person prepping the bbq and receiving your food, which was super weird. Gives of a McDonalds self service terminal vibe if you ask me so no need to tip, cause there’s not a lot of service. Plate was handed without a napkin which is super weird for bbq. At least put a paper towel on the tray. 3/5 would not drive here for the bbq plate again. Can’t rate the sandwiches though. I’ll have to try one when I’m back...

We are in Berlin for a few days on holidays, and I had to come back to Markthalle Neun twice just for the food at Big Stuff! The pork belly sandwich is a dream. The meat was not overly seasoned. While it looked fatty, the texture was so perfect and spot on, you wouldn’t think you are eating pork belly. We also got the small plate with pulled pork, which again was perfect. I don’t normally like beans, but their beans are so flavourful and smoky, I actually ate it. Service is also excellent. I didn’t know what sauce to get with my sandwich and plate, but his suggestions were awesome. So reasonably price for what you get here. Date I say this is the best pork I have...

Amazing place, especially if you like meat. The staff is very friendly, they show you all the sorts of meat and describe the flavor so you can choose exactly what you like. I had a medium plate, it was exactly the right size for dinner. The sides of salad, apple, potato and baked beans are amazing and go very well with the meat. Take the big plate if you are very very hungry or want to share it between 2 people. The whole markt is a nice place with lot of food and drink to try. Really recommend this place, great...
