My husband and I stumbled across this place late in the afternoon on a Monday when all the other stands at the Markethalle were closed so by default this was our lunch. I have never been so excited to be forced into a meal. The Italians from Southern Italy running this place were incredible. Not only friendly and hard working, but the pasta was the best I have EVER had. I have traveled through Italy and still did not have the quality pasta that was served to me on that Monday afternoon in Berlin. They are hand making all noodles fresh daily and adding simple yet unforgettable sauces to the dish. The most memorable part of all is the parmesan cheese they used. We made our order, proceeded to wait, the order took a little longer than expected so we decided to ask for a takeaway like it says in the window where you pick up the order. My partner requested the pasta for take away, after which the woman that took our order earlier rolled her eyes and started lecturing my partner about how she should’ve said it at the register. That wasn’t even the worst part. After that, she turns to her co-workers and starts complaining in Italian, obviously not knowing that my girlfriend could understand everything. They’re generous with the fresh truffle shavings on top, which add this extra burst of flavor that takes the whole dish to another level.
