Café Morgenduft — Restaurant in Berlin

We had friends who sat and ordered drinks and food already at the cafe, we met them there to sit down in preparation to order a coffee. The owner yelled at us because we went to sit down before going to order something. It was the most unprofessional thing I’ve ever seen. Very unwelcoming to foreigners. If you are a foreigner do NOT come here. He was also racist to one of my Arabic friends, he was mocking the Arabic language. After deciding very quickly we didn’t want to tolerate the behaviour, we told him we’d like to take our food to go. He grabbed the food from the plate with his hands (no gloves - nothing) and shoved it in a bag. It was the most disgusting behaviour I’ve ever seen. We had to demand him to get a new cookie and he made us feel unreasonable for making such a request. How is that place still open with behaviour like that? It’s clear that the amount of stars the owner has is based on his friends or he doesn’t tolerate foreigners or it’s definitely not a CURRENT perspective...

After struggling to find a breakfast spot without reservations, we stumbled upon this small, charming place that exceeded our expectations. Despite its size, the breakfast options were fantastic. I had the chicken panini, which I highly recommend—it was flavorful and satisfying. My kids enjoyed the healthy breakfast option, which included a generous assortment of fresh fruits, perfect for a nutritious start to the day. First time in Berlin. From Toronto, Canada. Stayed in the neighbourhood for the first 5 days. Found this place and absolutely loved it. We came here every morning for breakfast and in the afternoon for tea and a treat. Everything is FRESH! Most, if not all, pastries are vegan. The blueberry strudel is phenomenal, I had it every day for4 days. We had the avocado toast with scrambled eggs (prepared and in the display case) and their breakfast plates.
