If you taste a lot of sugar, you can be certain that they use tea leaves from cheap Vietnam tea farms or similar places where they use way too much pesticides even right before the harvest and so you will drink all these pesticides remaining. The sugar is to hide the bitterness of low quality tea. Any grandpa from Asia will tell you that no decent tea will be consumed with sugar, because its pesticides will be strictly controlled and it will not be machine cut to become so unbearably bitter.

Comebuy is quite an established brand, by now. You'll get the same benefits and treatment like in any other comebuy in Berlin. While the quality of the tea itself doesn't match the one from ComebuyTEA (different brand), they are still pretty good. Every now and then they also have a 50% discount to their signature plastic, reusable, bubble tea glasses. Nachdem ich bereits die Marke aus Australien, Singapur und dem Heimmarkt in Taiwan kannte, war ich sehr gespannt, ob die hohe Qualität auch in Deutschland gehalten werden kann. Die Antwort war leider ein krachendes Nein: Tee viel zu dünn, zu viel Sirup um die mangelnde Qualität des Tees zu überschatten. Hier muss man klar sagen: das ist comebuy und ihr seid für euren Tee berühmt. Wenn ihr das nicht hinbekommt wie in den genannten Ländern, dann sollte man lieber einen anderen Namen für das Deutschlandgeschäft wählen.

Edit 1: Die Antwort vom Eigentümer stimmt mich sehr zuversichtlich, dass auch wirklich etwas für die Qualität getan wird. Gerne teile ich mehr Details über die Bestellung und Problemfelder. Es hat sich um einen Osmanthus Oolong Tee gehandelt. Dieser ist mein Lieblingsprodukt in Australien und Taiwan gewesen. Im Vergleich zu genannten Ländern wirkt der Tee sehr dünn. Er trägt nicht wirklich den Geschmack der Teeblätter, sondern wirkt mehr wie ein Hauch von Teegeschmack, der aber sehr verwässert und verzuckert (Frage: wird auch derselbe Zucker wie in Taiwan verwendet?). Ich glaube sofort, dass es sich um die Originalprodukte handelt, wenn es um den Tee geht, aber bei der Herstellung/Verarbeitung scheint es hier ein Problem zu geben. Interessanterweise ist genau das beschriebene Problem des zu dünnen Tees mir auch bei einer Filiale in Taipeh in Ximending aufgetreten. Hier wurde der Tee nach Reklamation sofort ausgetauscht und war dann perfekt. Falls ehrliches Interesse vom Eigentümer besteht, bin ich gerne bereit auch weitergehend weiterzuhelfen, da ich wirklich sehr froh war vor meinem Umzug nach Berlin zu sehen, dass es hier...
