RISTORANTE ARLECCHINO 🇮🇹CUCINA & ITALIANA🇮🇹 — Restaurant in Berlin

Shame you can’t haves half star as well. Visited last week 6 Adults, not booked so appreciative they fitted us all in as it was getting late. Ordered drinks and food and decided to have wine, the wine menu although clear the prices are handwritten not very clearly. We ordered what though was a €24 bottle of red. Food arrived all delicious wine arrived, they made a very big point of showing us the bottle and giving us a small amount each, have to say it was delicious so they weren’t surprised when we ordered the 2nd bottle. Which again they brought. So we finished our meal and asked for the bill, they brought it across and then declared it to be €570.00 for 6 of us! Turns out our €24.00 bottle of wine had an extra 0 which we clearly hadn’t seen . Whilst we did point out it wasn’t very clear on the menu, we did pay it and they gave us a complimentary drink each. We paid our bill in full. It was annoying to see the waiting staff sniggering at us whilst we tried to explain what we had seen, our fault I know and understand businesses are there to make a profit, but just felt cheated, especially as we left they we’re all still laughing whilst...

In general, the service was very nice, kind, welcoming and fast. At the end, the waiter left us the phone with the calculations on our table, without any explanation. A few minutes later we asked how to pay and that we would like to do that by card but (my favourite reason) the machine was "broken". I think the guest should be warned about the incident before ordering food. Normally, we don't have cash as we are used to paying everything by card.

Food is delicious, portions are good. The wine of the house was amazing. Although, the dishes were delicious, they were, let's say, variations on the Italian kitchen : black pasta was not with the real ink, the pieces of garlic and chilli pepper (that should be taken away) were in the dish, pasta was not long (i think they broke it before cooking), pizza 4 cheeses was pale, slices of strange cheese were added, they did not even melt.

The atmosphere was nice. The place is small. You have an impression of dining together with the stranger...

We arrived and the gentleman at the door was friendly and welcoming, we thought we were in for a great meal at a genuine Italian restaurant.

Unfortunately during my visit I was faced with, terrible food and an old man breathing down everyone’s neck with a terrible attitude!

Firstly, the food: my wife and I both ordered possibly the easiest Italian food to make… A PIZZA! It came out as a soggy mess (not cooked). Honestly mine was not inedible however, my wife had something that looked like they purchased from a frozen food section.

Now as for the old man, he was instantly RUDE as we sat down and constantly glaring at us. I’d assume we’re not welcome guests due to the fact that he was fast to give only certain people menu for pudding and so on but not us.

I put my dirty napkin on the plate for it to be taken away after my meal and he had the audacity to pick it back up and throw it back at me.
