Mai Kudamm — Restaurant in Berlin

The experience at this restaurant was awful. The food was not tasty, and the staff were incredibly rude with very poor English and German language skills. To make matters worse, the dishes were broken.

I ordered Tom Yum, expecting a traditional dish, but what I received was just a bland soup with pieces of salmon—no shrimp, no lemongrass, none of the essential ingredients that make Tom Yum authentic. When I brought this up with the waitress, she claimed the menu didn’t state it included shrimp. In fact, the menu didn’t clarify anything about the ingredients. She dismissively told me it was “Geschmacksache” (a matter of taste) that I didn’t like it.

The manager’s response was even more ridiculous. He claimed that “Tom Yum” was just a name and didn’t have to match the traditional recipe. After a lengthy discussion, he eventually said he would cover the cost of the Tom Yum himself. However, when the receipt came, it only showed the total amount. Upon requesting a detailed breakdown, I found that the cost of the Tom Yum was still included.

This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Poor food, broken dishes, and terrible service. I would not recommend this...

We were group of 6 people we liked almost all the food, BUT we ordered rice with duck breast. Duck was terribly dry and terrible aftertaste. I’ve asked to cancel this dish and not to prepare new one. Waiter didn’t want to cancel it. I’ve asked to talk to the manager BUT manager is a person who isn’t exist at the restaurant that a person who has no responsibility and can’t talk on the phone. The price of the dish was about 13,5 €. Waiter canceled a price of the duck so I paid about 6,5 € only for the rice which I even didn’t touch and try. Our last day visiting Berlin... Sightseeing along Kurfundestamm and wanted to grab a bite to eat. The lunch specials are great! We ordered the duck & rice (best), and beef noodles and the salmon sushi, and got two lime ades. The lime drinks were the best beverages we have had in Germany! (Complete with cubed ice and mint decoration!) and the duck rice was fabulous! Loved the food and the atmosphere!
