For some reason the restaurant flags all recent negative reviews as "politically motivated". I agree that politics should not play a role in a restaurant review, and it is sad to see that there needs to be police in front of the restaurant - it's not the restaurant's fault what's happening in the world! Unfortunately I still can't rate it positively because the main dishes were not very good.

I could not reserve via phone because no one picked up but we were lucky to get a seat anyway. The restaurant is quite popular so reservations make sense. The service is professional, I thought the waitress was friendly, the male waiters were at least not unfriendly.

We ordered a hummus with aubergine to share which was actually pretty tasty! However the amount of bread that came with it was a joke. Three super tiny triangles for the whole table. We asked for more bread, which took a long time to arrive but it was warm and fluffy, so also good - but unfortunately even less than before, only TWO small triangles for three people and lots of leftover hummus. We were joking that wheat must be expensive and that we would just order more bread during the whole evening- which we luckily didn't do because as an unpleasant surprise we later found out that we were charged more than two euros for the tiny two additional pieces of bread. Just give us enough bread for the food, please, it's not so expensive, no 😭

While the starter was good (I would say 4 stars), the mains were a complete disappointment. The meat was tasteless and my friend needed to help with a lot of salt, the shakshuka tasted like from a tomato can with completely overcooked eggs. The shakshuka got served with homeopathic amounts of bread, the meat didn't, so we were economically sharing it in tiny bits, which didn't feel like feasting but more like oh my God, we are running out of bread again, let's be careful.

All in all I agree with other reviewers that the atmosphere is nice, the plating is great for Instagram, the starters are good, as is the bread, just the amount is waaaay too little. I found the service was better than some other reviewers wrote. All in all, for three people we paid almost 100 euros which I found way too expensive for what we received.

During our visit we noticed some people walking by and shouting slurs towards the restaurant, which I feel very sorry for, just leave them in peace!

I think it could be a good place if more effort was put into the main dishes and if bread was not treated like gold. It's doable changes, please try it, I have sympathy for you and would like to support you if the food...

In a town with more Turkish restaurants than Constantinople (more gravitas than Istanbul), an Israeli place has gotta swing and hit it outta the park. Anyway, at this price, it needs to wow, at least occasionally around a very good median. There are some decent elements in the €55 shared mish mash. Very good hummus is key, and they deliver. Likewise the very good felafel. They beetroot capaccio would rate well if the eggplant chips were crisp to order...sadly not. The babaganoush is lacking the smokiness we deserve. The Israeli salad, while a perfect small dice (big ups apprentice chef!) Sogs underbthevweight of waiting in the fidge, and yet it's served twice. The cabbage salads can't cut it in a town that knows its cabbage like it knows bratwurst. The tahini also doesn't shine enough to make 2 bowls full of appearances. The whole thing is ok, in a vibe, price and town that sorely needs miznon standard Israeli fare...the brothers across the Mediterranean need you...

Two years ago I visited already the Feinbergs and was thrilled by their food. That's why I had to go back this year when we visited Berlin. Although we had no reservation and the Restaurant was quite full, we still got a table at 19:45 o'clock I would recommend to make always a reservations. And like the first time we enjoyed the food very much.

As a starter we had Labane cheese and their delicious hummus. I think it’s the best hummus outside of the middle east. As main course we had the Jerusalem Mix (chicken, liver, heart) and Feinbergs Kebab. Both tasted very good, but without the starter I wouldn't have had enough of that portion.

The meal was rounded off with original Israeli Goldstar beer. I wouldn't know where else to get that beer.

The staff was very busy (positively meant), even if here and there something went wrong, e.g. the starters landed at the wrong table. I think worse things can happen.

In the Future I will always eat something at Feinbergs when I visit Berlin.

And something else that needs to be said even though it doesn't belong here:

Here it is about the food, ambience, the service by the staff or similar points to evaluate objectively, which are directly related to the restaurant. Politically motivated hate speeches or ratings are completely unacceptable here...
