Frida&Diego — Restaurant in Berlin

I have no idea if this is a hotel. It was only a restaurant that I could see. It saddens me to write this review because I normally like to support unique restaurants. Positive: the service was fast and kind Negatives: so many unfortunately. My order was takeaway so maybe they cared less. Prices were silly high. See photo. This cost me 15.50€ I got the vegetarian chimichangas- not chimichangas two small flour tortillas with a salty spinach filling (imagine frozen spinach with too much salt microwaved and put in a soggy chewy tortilla… Maybe the tortilla was also microwaved) then sprinkled with cheese on the outside and top heated a couple minutes. I was so hungry I ate one, but could not eat the other. The rice on the side was tasty except the hair in my second bite. Ugh. The side salad was a grocery store mix and included wilted produce. Frida und Diego is a fantastic Mexican restaurant tucked away at Fuggerstrasse. It isn't very close to an S-Bahn or U-Bahn station but the walk is delightful, being on quaint streets. The food itself is spectacular and our friend who works in Mexico, remarked that this is exactly how the dishes would be prepared in Mexico too (with the exception of the Burrito that Mexicans disown). Even though our food took a little long to arrive, the quality was fantastic and since we were in a large group, time flitted away quickly.

My husband and I recently visited this Mexican cocktail bar, and we had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, and the cocktails were top-notch. However, I wanted to take a moment to give a special shout-out to the incredible bartender who single-handedly managed everything, from preparing cocktails to taking orders and cleaning the tables. Despite being the only one on duty, he displayed an incredible amount of ambition and dedication to serving the customers. We truly appreciate his hard work and exceptional service.
