First off: they don’t serve cocktails. At least „not in summer”? Take that information as you will. (It’s bizarre to me for a place whose description literally includes „cocktails in the evening”.)
Second: no dogs allowed, even smaller ones, even on the patio. Yes they have the little sticker on the door, which I admittedly missed. But the owners of the bar - who are quite active in the comments - could easily mark that setting on google maps since it’s very uncommon for bars to be hardline against dogs in Berlin! I’m not saying the bar should allow dogs. It should just be more explicitly clear that there’s a hard no dogs policy, especially with a big patio in the summer on a weekday.
This place had been on my list for a few months but was seriously underwhelming. Vibe of the staff was a bit sharp for no clear reason. Drink was fine but expensive compared to a couple blocks into Graefekiez. If there’s a specific charm here, I...
Read moreMe and my white friends walked in without problems. Our black friend who joined 5 minutes later got stopped at the door and had to prove she had friends inside before she was allowed to enter. Security claimed it was “full”. It was 10PM and there were plenty of seats inside. We decided not to accept the drinks we ordered and we left. Very questionable door policy.
Response edit: Regardless of what you might say, this is just what happened. I’m glad at least that you are as shocked as we were. However, the way in which you respond to customers with complaints (also judging by other reviews) is very disturbing. You cannot call people dumb, shame and mock them if they report a problem to you. There is nothing ‘respectful’ or ‘tolerant’ about that. Wish you...
Read moreWe were thrown out of the foxhole because the music was supposedly too loud for our dog.
After two hours, completely out of the blue: "You have to leave now. I haven't seen the dog." When we asked what the problem was, we were told in the most moral way that the music was too loud for the dog. Including the statement: You don't take your dog out on a weekend.
Of course, they did not want to turn down the music.
Only after discussions were we told that it was now "party time". At 22:00. As if everyone had to know when the hole would turn up the music to the max.
We had just bought 3 new beers. They wanted to take them away from us because they were afraid we would steal the glasses now that we had to leave.
Cheers it up...
