Hà Nội Phở — Restaurant in Berlin

Really good and tasty Vietnamese food at a very, very friendly price. Berlin is full of Vietnamese restaurants, but the food is often not as tasty as here. Also this place has one of the best Pho Bo-s in the city that I tried (and I did try many, because I am still looking for the kind of Pho you can get in Budapest). This is a simple family place, it not trying to impress with decor or ambiance, the owners speak broken German (well so do I :) ). but. BUT. The food is always good here. All the dishes I tried. All the dishes my friends tried. The meat is tasty, the sauces fragrant, the greens are fresh. No frills, no fancy presentation, just simple, hearty good food. If you are in the area and in doubt about where to eat, and it is not your culinary adventure/fine dining day, just come here and eat a curry with duck, you will have a good meal, and possibly much better than at most of the tourist feeders around Boxi.

Taste quality & Price ratio unbeatable. Let’s be honest I think PHO is saturated in Berlin but I rarely find good authentic shops. My hubby and I stopped by and we were pleasantly surprised. The pho Hanoi broth and the noodles were a perfect combo and it tasted authentic. Good stock and good quality noodles not the super thin type but the flat kind still fairly thin. Trust me it makes a difference in the noodle soup. My hubs ordered the cold noodles #173 which were also very tasty. We were honestly surprised by how good it was. Lastly, it’s a family shop and they’re so service oriented and friendly. Couldn’t say much more other than recommend!!!!! Prices are sooo reasonable and it’s Authentic....

Yeah this pho is pretty fire. I’ve had good pho a lot since living in SF Bay Area which has the biggest viet population outside of Vietnam. I really enjoyed the pho and bun cha here. The pho was aromatic and packed with meat and noodles, but not greasy or overly heavy. Like a home style flavor. The bun cha was also delicious, really love the balance of meat and veggies and noodles. Perfect for a cold rainy day. There was a little bit of language barrier for English speakers but nothing that can’t be overcome with some pointing...
