Hi! Chili 海椒 (Sichuan Tapas Bistro) — Restaurant in Berlin

From the moment I walked up and was greeted by two very delightful and attentive personnel I was quickly shown to an outdoor table where I swiftly adjusted my seat for a better view.

The menu was short but detailed enough for me to understand what I was ordering and I personally appreciate a shorter menu because then I know the choices are prepared. I ordered the pork bites, cucumber salad, the seasonal plum ice tea and slow roasted beef stew. Omgggggggg wow! Talk about a flavor explosion and the heat wasn't overly spicy. Throughout the entire dish I had that tongue warming and numbing from the Szechuan spices which added perfect contrast to the cold day and was easily quenched by this delicious tea

10/10 Will require these flavors...

If you’re craving authentic Sichuan heat and deep, addictive flavor, this is the spot. From the first bite of the chili oil-drenched dumplings to the last slurp of numbing-hot mapo tofu, every dish was a masterclass in boldness and balance.

The staff was warm and attentive, happily recommending dishes that didn’t just cater to spice lovers, but also those who prefer it milder. (Pro tip: try the dry-fried green beans—pure magic.)

Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the spice? Let’s just say it sings and tingles in all the right places. Don’t come here looking for bland. Come for the fireworks.
