The H2 hotel is quite a disappointment and would not recommend travelers to stay here. The price per night is severely inflated for an underwhelming and beyond basic room. Multiple issues. The fixtures and fittings in the room (and in the hotel in general) are quite tired and old, our bathroom lock was broken, and not much care was put into maintenance of the room in general. The AC did not work properly which led to us overheating overnight and causing us to wake up multiple times. The room itself is quite small and a tight fit, so difficult to get around. It also lacks any basic amenities such as a kettle or any tea/coffee making tray. You can get a €3 tea from the restaurant downstairs….
The breakfast itself is also very basic. They have the cooked food that you can see below, yogurt and fruit, and some tea/coffee. No pastries or anything like that. The actual fittings, tables and chairs of the restaurant are also quite cheap and dated making them very uncomfortable.
The staff at this hotel are also quite unhelpful and not really pleasant. When we came to collect our bags the lady at reception was too busy eating her pizza and could not care any less about helping me find my bag in the back closet, which was buried under a number of other bags, so I had some digging to do myself. She didn’t even offer to help.
All in all, would not recommend and would not visit this...
Read moreWe stayed from Monday to Friday. On our first night when we entered the room there was a horrible strong sewer smell coming from the bathroom and into the entire room. I went to the reception to complain about the problem but as there was too late for a manager to be around they informed us that the hotel is fully booked and in the morning we could look at the issue. We slept with the window partly open with 4 degrees outside as their ventilation in the bathroom didn't work either. There was also black mold on the ceiling of the bathroom and as far as i know despite the smell this is a health risk especially if you are allergic. The next days the smell was coming and going but we had to leave the windows open when there or not. No one from reception or a manager looked into this the next days so we let it go as we were tired and just disappointed . 3 of our colleagues had a similar problem with the smell. Also we had to stay for an additional night and they asked us to pay 160 euros for this shame of a room and hotel.. So 1 star for your greed and unprofesionalism. And please save your sorry. I've read reviews going back up to 3 years with the same smell problem. The only good thing was the location but still. At least offer a discount, even pretend that you care or suggest an upgrade to happily pay for it but no. Who...
Read moreWe’re a 10th grade class that went one a school trip here, and we can’t say it was a good experience. First of all one hotel service guy is running around and shouting at everyone for talking, even tho it’s early at the evening. We found blood on the bedsheets when we arrived, which did not come from us. The breakfast was, in contrast to everything else, good, but this not does weigh up to the bad service. When we walked in the hallway, the man pushed us and kicked our shoes into our rooms, even tho he didn’t tell us to get inside earlier. When we arrived we was met with the shouting guy before we even got to our room. How ever, the majority of the service was kind and good, but some individuals ruined it. It got to the point where i was suprised when the service people were nice to me. We’re not even allowed to talk. Very bad network. They’re even shouting at us in German. One service guy got in a conflict with different pupils, said to one of the pupils «do you want to fight me?». They’re stalking us through the windows. We’re getting treated differently than the other classes, while doing the exact same.
The worst thing is that we couldn’t even end our misery out the window, cause we couldn’t even open it more...
