We attended the opening event because it was advertised that the first 100 tickets would be free. We arrived 40 minutes early, standing in the rain with our children, with about 70 people ahead of us. Despite this, after waiting an hour, we were informed that all 100 free tickets had already been distributed. This was blatantly untrue, as no one had been allowed inside during that entire time. It became evident that the free passes were being handed out to people the staff already knew, a clear case of favoritism and corruption.
Two employees initially assured us that we would still receive free entry due to the obvious line-cutting, but this promise was quickly abandoned. We waited an additional hour before the manager was finally called, only after we demanded her presence multiple times. Instead of resolving the situation professionally, she chose to incite the crowd behind us—who had purchased tickets long after we arrived—against us.
The behavior of the staff was not just disappointing, it was outright appalling. They were completely incapable of handling the situation and resorted to unethical practices. Even more outrageous was their behavior of recording people and using the footage for Instagram promotion, further adding insult to injury. The entire experience was a disgrace, filled with deceit and utter disrespect for those who genuinely followed the rules. I have never encountered such blatant cheating and unprofessionalism at an...
Read moreWe did not really know what to expect under the "immersive experience museum". The pictures looked inviting so we said let's give it a try. 2 adults and 3 children (age 8 and 6). At first it was quite a shocking welcome with the ticket price of total 102€ (2x24€ & 3x18€). The kids loved the ball pool and started playing around. For me the fun was over when one ball hit my eye so badly that I could not see for half an hour. The good thing was, this happened in the 2nd round of ball pool party, after we experienced all of the 14 rooms. The rooms were for us really nothing special, we simply missed any kind of "experience feeling". The artsy part was also left out - the claims on the wall stating like "you will find the meaning of your life" next to the room #2 was very out of touch. All in one I would say a VERY overpriced playground for adults. Kids can have way more fun in places like Anoah or Futurium where they can enter for free and are guided through a lovely story with a meaning behind it. IKONO could focus on adults and older kids that like these type of experiences. I think the only reason why one would visit iconic is to take pictures - for this a bit more organized approach to enable this would be nice (make sure all rooms are constantly well maintained, like don't loose half of the 99 balloons or the butterfly on the swing and ensure rooms are not...
Read moreDuring our visit on 29th July 2025, my young children were playing in the designated area when a complaint was made by other guests. In response, a staff member approached us and began shouting aggressively at my 3-year-old girl in a manner that was completely unacceptable. The situation escalated to a point where it seemed the staff member was on the verge to attack my children.
When I approached the manager on duty to report the incident and ask for the name of the staff member involved, I was met with a lack of cooperation. The manager refused to provide the name or take the matter seriously.
To make matters worse, we were told to leave despite the fact that we had only been playing for 55 minutes. The signage clearly states that all games duration is "APPROXIMATELY" 1 hour, which suggests flexibility not a strict cut-off. Rather than resolving the matter calmly, staff escalated the situation further by involving the police and we had to leave.
This entire experience was traumatic for my young children. A venue designed for children should employ staff who are patient, trained in child-friendly communication, and equipped to manage situations with professionalism and empathy. Aggression or any form of racial bias maybe because we are Arabs. We are tourists from Dubai and this experience will definitely impact the reputation...
