My wife and l went here because it was recommended by our Airbnb host and TripAdvisor had some favourable reviews. We booked for a Friday lunch time and opted for the daily menu 2/3 courses 19/23 euros menu which includes water and coffee the wine on this menu can be purchased by the glass 110 size glasses at 6/7 euros a glass . There was at least 3 starters and maybe 5 mains to choose from . My wife had the herring starter (excellent) and the Pasta bow ties in a truffle and mushroom sauce (great) l opted for the French Onion soup which was good too the bread on the side was really fresh and a nice salty pat of butter too. Then we waited for our mains to arrive people who arrived after us were getting served mains before we got ours. they were having the same combination Now l don't like being served too quickly but likewise there is a happy medium between first and second course . When our mains arrived as stated before pasta was good but my chicken was lukewarm and l asked politely to have a hot meal . That was not a problem we had a second 110 mls of wine and about 5 mins later l had a piping hot plate . The chicken breast was tough as old boots. I live in Sicily the chicken l can buy at a premium is second to none this tasted like the cheapest battery hen . That used to get sold in UK . I just could not eat it . When the bill l noticed that the wine had not been charged . I asked was this a mistake and my kind waitress said oh was it not explained to you we have paid for your wine because of the issues . I thanked her the bill was 38 euros so l paid 50 because there was nothing wrong with the wine. The funny thing though was l had the coffee and l guess somebody thought it amusing to put the cup in a microwave it took ten minutes to cool down my wife thought it...

Read moreCame here to lunch on my birthday. While the food was good - not great - the experience was ruined by the poor level of service/lack of attentiveness unfortunately. We had a reservation for 2 pm and we waited at our table for 15 minutes to have our order taken and then while eating our main course were informed by the restaurant manager that the restaurant was closing in 15 minutes essentially being indirectly asking to hurry the hell up. They of course had no qualms taking our order for a bottle of wine when we placed our order at the start of our meal and did not mention anything at that point in time as though the guest is simply expected to know the hours of the restaurant. Don‘t allow reservations to be made at 2 pm if you expect your guests to be out the door by 3 pm unless you think you can expect to serve them a three course meal in that time… Now to the food, The dessert which would have been my favorite part was anything but a chocolate mousse and just a chocolate tart sadly…and the pumpkin spaghetti was underwhelming. The pastrami appetizer...
