Because I designed this place, you might think that my opinion is not too objective and I can only agree with you on that. Nevertheless let me present you MATANGA through my eyes.
From the very beginning my brother Yann and I had a simple idea in mind: We wanted to create a place where everybody would feel welcome. A location where you'd feel comfortable to go with friends as much as for a first date or when your parents are visiting the city.
We love tapas because we think that it's a really contemporary and flexible way of eating out. Indeed, with tapas you can allow yourself to try new things and any extra guest is welcome at any time.
To insure that our vision was respected, We make all our products in house, tailored original cocktails, custom built the furnitures and created each artworks hung on the walls specially for the restaurant. Our aim is to make your experience at MATANGA the most pleasant and memorable as possible.
It's been almost a year since we first opened MATANGA, reading all your positive comments is showing us that all these efforts, doubts and challenges were worth it and that we are going in the right direction. This is extremely encouraging! :)

The food was fresh and very tasty, the chimichurri and the pastel de choclo are to die for. The empanadas were soooo good too!! Then we had a variety of cocktails including the monthly special Baloo which was awesome. I loved every Cocktail and every Tapa, we had no regrets at all. Furthermore we were invited to check the inside of the restaurant and we couldnt stop from noticing details to the design everywhere, the while place was self made by the owners including an inside TREEHOUSE and a JUNGLE bathroom.
