Melt Café Crêperie — Restaurant in Berlin

Very cute lil restaurant, we enjoyed the space and the service was kind. My friends’ Crêpe (goat cheese, honey,..) was very good, unfortunately there was only one vegan hearty option and since they just leave out the cheese it was extremely dry. You could see it and taste it. My Crêpe was not even a Crêpe As it was so crispy:( they filled it with yummy veggies like Aubergine, salad and dried tomato, BUT PLEASE FIND A VEGAN MOISTURIZING INGREDIENT TO ADD! Also I think potato was too much carbs in there, was told it would come with mushrooms but didn’t I think if they had added a vegan cheese (easily find in any store nowadays) or some other kind of sauce, it would Have been moist and yummy. After 2 years living in the area we decided to give it a go.

Food is good, but crossant not sure.. it’s not fluffy. One can find better in the city I believe.

Service was very disappointing, after my strawberry cream Crêpe that was very delicious I ordered pane chocolate and waiter said “sure” I waited and it didn’t arrive. After 15mins I asked for the bill and asked her again and she said ahh sorry we rain out and it will take a while as they are in the oven. Paid and left disappointed.

Why she didn’t tell me and waited on the table for nothing! Also when I ordered I saw from the window that they still had so technically she forgot completely and I left not with the best experience. Not planning to go again soon. Very annoying, typical...

croissants!

I previously had this place as a favorite; however it seems to suffer from inconsistencies. On their good days, they have the best croissants in berlin (so far i came across).

I went there yesterday to have some sweets and coffee. The chocolate orange almond tart was mediocre, chocolate [molten] cake screamed for ice cream (incomplete dish without it), and coffee was average. Each dessert dish was 5 euros which was bad on the price quality location ration.

Previously we tried their crepes. Good but nothing special.

I recommend going there for the croissants but not sure for anything else on the menu.

Rating 4 stars is for the croissants. It would have been 5 if they were consistent. Still...
