Milch&Zucker — Restaurant in Berlin

Cozy Atmosphere, Nice interior, good Wifi, great for people that like to work at coffee shops. The food and drinks are overpriced like everywhere in Berlin and they’re not that special. Regardless, it tastes good and the baked goods are fresh and delicious (pls sell a cook book🙈). The workers often mess up orders especially if you order with add-ons.

It has a unique charm to it. It’s one of my favorite all time cafes.

Edit: after some really bad experiences I have to come back to give this cafe a worse rating.

the matcha tasted horribly, it was like drinking sand, because the barista didn’t know what she was doing, instead she looked at me rudely and talked to her coworker. It was also not crowded so I don’t understand why she couldn’t wisk the matcha for a minute. every single item I asked for was not available. Every single breakfast item I asked for (croissant, salat etc) wasn’t available (at 10/11 am) also they were out of most drinks too?(atp sell coffee only)

I don’t know if it’s coincidence but whenever she’s there the service and the drinks are significantly worse, she often forgets my caramel Sirup which I of course have to pay extra for.

I’m not one to write a bad review as I work in the food industry and understand things can be overwhelming and stressful in a kitchen at times.. however this is one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever witnessed. My friend has a severe peanut allergy and specifically asked if a dish contained peanuts. The staff assured her it did not. Partway through the meal, she discovered it did contain peanuts and immediately had a serious allergic reaction.

Rather than taking the situation seriously, the staff were rude, dismissive, and even laughed while my friend was clearly in distress. There was zero apology, zero concern, and zero professionalism. It was genuinely shocking.

On top of that, the coffee was terrible and the overall atmosphere was cold and unwelcoming. We will never be coming back, and I would strongly warn anyone especially those with dietary restrictions to...

I walked to this place with my colleagues for lunch. It was nice trying something vegan for once. I ordered a chili soup that came with a loaf of bread. The portion was great, I was able to reheat half of it for my dinner. However, it was a bit bland later, but for lunch I quite liked it. The service was ok, nothing special to be honest. One of the girls couldn’t speak English (which is not an issue) so she called another woman to help me. I would define them as professional and distant, rather than friendly and welcoming.
