Ok, so: croquetas, alioli, the meat from the photo - that all was good. Octopus was not my taste. What I did not like is the size of the plates in comparation to prices. I mean, I know is tapas bar, but I thought that if one tapas cost around 15€, it will be bigger than just for few bites. We first ordered 2 glasses of tinto de verano but the waitress proposed us 1l jar, which we accepted because we thought that usually one glass in 200/250ml, therefore it will be 4/5 glasses, max 15€ then (1 glass is sth around 3€). But the glasses were very small and and the end this jar of tinto de verano was sth around 25€. In my opinion it’s too big price for it (as it is wine mixed with some other drinks). We left hungry and we paid much more than usually we pay for full meal.

Foodie group time! These „interesting“ time call for a more frequent exchange and I just love to get together with these guys who do not mind that it always has to be a new restaurant and that I have to take pictures of everything and that we always have to try as much as we can... 😏😅 We spend a lovely evening at Bar Raval. Tapas and drinks was what we came for and we most-definitely did not leave disappointed. As I was the only meat eater I had that bowl of Chorizo all by myself and I loved it! Apart from everything being delicious the three of us crowned the goat cheese as the star of that evening! 🤩😁 Special thanks also to the lovely staff (muchas gracias, Helmut! 🙏🏼) who made this evening extra special! 👏🏼

Without doubt, one of the best Spanish restaurants in Berlin. It is located right in front of Gorlitzer park. Counts with a big terrace and a lot of inside tables as well. The menu is full of Spanish specialities. In my case, I tried what I personally find a must when thinking of Spanish cuisine: Tortilla de patatas (Dish could be bigger), croquetas (best part of the menu, both queso and jamón ones), calamares (delicious), patatas bravas (incredible!!) And octopus (this was probably the worst of all the dishes I've tried. I think it was not properly cooked) All in all, really good option to inmerse yourself in the heart of the Spanish kitchen! Price wise was okay.

Nomineed the worst service of the year. As a group of 10 we asked for recommandation to have food together, Tapas to share. We got served 1 to 2 plates at the time every 10-15minutes for 2 hours. This made it impossible to share it as all were hungry and we never had a full table of food. How do you share 1 plate every 5 minutes in 10, each a fork.

So we kindly asked the service, to accumulate plates in the kitchen and bring 5 at the time as we ordered 18 plates, 2 or 3 times of each dish, to make it easier for the kitchen... "the kitchen do it this way"

As a chef I can say the Kitchen organisation was the worst i have experienced, sure they had no real chef.

How can you feed 13 people by sending 1-2 plates every 15 minutes. Even pimientos del padron we ordered 3 plates and got them served 1 at 20.15, 20.20, 20.40 why?

To the customers: dont go as big groups. To the restaurant: dont take groups this big you can not handle & try to work with the peoples needs...

The restaurant was not so busy, we left all hungry and upsad of one of the worst dining experience. A friend can cook the same from a thiny...

Having lived in Barcelona and done my fair share of hanging around in the Raval, I am always happy to come here for a taste of my old home. From the outside the place looks pretty stylish and sophisticated but there is no stuffiness or snobbery from the staff who have always been very friendly and helpful.

The food is good quality, authentic tapas with a nice range of Spanish wine, beer and beverages. For instance they have pacharan which I am partial to but is not even always available in Spanish bars.

The place is usually busy which is a testament to it's good food at reasonable prices in a stylish setting but despite this I've always managed to get a table.

My only complaint is the music which on a couple of occasions has been ubiquitous Berlin tech house that was giving the speakers a hard time. I don't expect or want a soundtrack of Catalan rumba and flamenco but music that is mellower and more in keeping with an eating establishment rather than a pre-club bar would be welcome.

Note to bar!!! If you need help with a music selection then please give...
