After a few day of searching and trying a few Italian places in Berlin, and shortly before giving up on our hunt, we found Trattoria Leo e Pepe as we were scavenging Google Maps. This place is the catch! It has the loveliest atmosphere, the most delicious food, and the friendliest staff. We tried past in Berlin, but Nico’s pasta is… different. We tried pizza in Berlin, but Nico’s pizza is Pizza, with capital P. You can tell the food was art cooked by an artisan with care, love, and their soul. To know how great the place is, know that we’ve eaten there 3 days in a row. Why is this significant? We’re tourists in Berlin and should be trying not to let our countable meals be wasted on repeated experiences, but every visit to Trattoria been a grand fresh experience.
Nico and Rebecca are great hosts. In fact, as lovely as the menu is, Nico and Rebecca helped us navigate their menu, only to have us fully trusting them, putting the menu down, and told them “pick our food for us”; and they did not disappoint. Nico put together the loveliest and most scrumptious combo of dishes. The plates were fast cleaned. Great food is an understatement, and the hospitality of the staff makes you feel at home. Nico, Rebecca, and the rest of Trattoria’s staff are constantly looking after the patrons happiness at the restaurant. The staff has contagious energy and synergy. It’s simply a joy to eat at Trattoria.

Read moreFantastic Italian food! Located right across from Görlitzer Park, sitting at the spacious outdoor seating provides a great atmosphere for your fine Italian dining experience. The service is really fun and friendly, though when it got busier, they forgot about us completely a few times and we were left sitting there for long periods of time trying to get their attention. But other than that, everything was superb. To start, we ordered some Bruschetta, and it was perfectly prepared. I didn't realize Bruschetta could taste so good! For the entree, I got the Gnocchi di Pepe, which only comes with like 10 gnocchis, but they're stuffed with cheese and drenched in truffle sauce, so I'm not complaining. It tasted incredible. My date got the spaghetti carbonara (which I actually ate most of) and it was also just as good. We were absolutely stuffed from all the delicious pasta but couldn't help but order a tiramisu for dessert, and it was quite frankly one of the best I've had. Just look at the photo! Amazing! All in all, perfect spot for a relaxing vibe while enjoying some delicious...
Read moreWhat an amazing dining experience! My partner and I were greeted so warmly by the loveliest man named Nico (or Niko) and we were sat promptly at a nice table near the window. The ambience was warm and cosy and smelt great. The food was delicious, the primitivo was superb and I loved the nice touches of free bread and olives in the beginning and grapes at the end (as well as a free shot which I think we only got as we were getting along with the lovely Nico so well). The service from the other waitress was also great and very attentive. We left the restaurant feeling so incredibly happy with the whole experience, so thank you so much and we can’t wait to...
