Streetwise the location is not ideal as it is next to a underpass that can put a Batman vibe to your night walk. Once inside it all changes as the atmosphere is quite welcoming with a touch of luxury with the crystal glasses the tables are set with. Comfortable armchairs and a large bench are set on one side of the wall and tables independent seating on the other make the choice of accommodation available to every taste. On the walls there were many electrical outlets that seemed ready to serve every traveler need to keep the batteries on their assortment of devices charged while they enjoy a meal and a drink. The lighting inside was tenuous and gentle with a couple of beautiful chandeliers and indirect lighting fixtures bathing the interior with warm light. We only ordered three different kinds of tapas as we were not very hungry but these were very well prepared and tasty, I washed all down with a glass of rosé which made the experience quite enjoyable. For desert and as time had passed along chatting I ordered some churros that were freshly made, don't order them if you aren't able to wait for them, and where decorated with a little chocolate and sugar. All in all it was a good time that we had, I'd be happy to come...
Read moreWe came shortly after 6 p.m. and were still given a special daily offer where we could choose 4 dishes out of the tapas selection and we would get an extra dessert as well for around 17€ per person, so we went with that. We were given the menus in German (not English) and we had to rely on the translation given by the waiter as we didn't have access to Internet - that lead to imagining that banderillas meant a skewer with nicely grilled vegetables instead of pickled onion and pickles, so we were a bit disappointed when we saw what we ordered 😅 The dates wrapped in bacon I ordered tasted AMAZING, definitely one of the greatest "bites" I've had in my life 🧡 The shrimps, however, were one of the worst ones I've ever had, they had a bad aftertaste and even the people who tasted just the sauce didn't like them (usually we're used to dipping our bread in leftover "shrimp sauce" but this wasn't the case). The desserts we got were 2 plates of 6 churros for 6 people, I definitely had better churros before (these were a bit gummy). The drinks & cocktails were quite expensive but that's probably normal for Berlin. This was definitely a different experience than tapas bars in Spain or Portugal but we didn't regret coming...
